Joint protectors.......

Get well soon! Your AZB family is pulling for you! Looking forward to your JP reveal WHEN you get better. Take care buddy!

My wife, (who is a nurse), informed me that Dengue is indeed some scary stuff. Let's all wish Marshall a speedy recovery, and offer our thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

Feel better soon, Marshall.

There was a report on News 4, New York a few days ago regarding some residents being diagnosed with dengue, however, they made it clear that they had contracted it while traveling outside of the US.

Yeah,nasty stuff!

Best,
Brian kc

I wish you well Marshall , get better and start building some more cue's to make a name for your self. Im interested in seeing some of your work in the future. Take care my freind <<ED

Marshall - Still dealing with illness

I shared a couple e-mails with Marshall last week and he's still having difficulty with his recovery. I haven't heard from him this week and was wondering if any fellow AZ'er has? I do hope he is getting better. Last I heard he was going through dialysis treatments... scary stuff.

for those of you wondering, i just had a long and indepth first call with him and would like to say what a nice guy. he informed me he just got out of the hospital and he is on the fast track of recovering from his illness. also got a sneak peek at those jps everyone is looking forward too and all i can say is wow! i had no idea that this could be done to jps lol. also after talking with him he is extremely passionate about what he does. get better fast marshall!!!

Piercy,

Glad to see you're back and healthy, at least healthy enough to post. Now, CHILL OUT DUDE.

Don't discuss theory or prices because without proof it's meaningless. Just do yours and put them up.

Matching JPs for cues is a really nice thing to have. Artsy ones are really cool. People have been doing artsy ones for awhile. Prather did sculptured ones. Alton is rocking them.

Obviously a market is there for them so build what you want and charge what you want. Word will get around if you end up being willing and able to do them.

But remember this, it's not the JP's that define the cue. The cuemaker gets the accolades. So focus on being a cue maker because that's where all your potential is.

Let the JP's be an artistic expression of what you are capable of - on your cues. Don't fool with becoming tied into making JPs when you already make fantastic cues.

That's my advice.

And take it from an old forum warrior, don't antagonize the board uneccessarily. They reward performance here - lot's of words not so much. Took me a long time to learn that, you don't have to learn the hard way.

Thanks and still limited

I know what you mean man. But I hope you know that I did calm down about half way through this thread and realized i shouldn't do so much but I get so sealed up into what I'm doing that I get a little to excited sometimes. The jps I made are in need of a little touch up then I will be done. The jps work is something I picked up in japan and honed this talent for about 2 years. If you'd like a sneak peak pm me when you get a chance.

Thanks man forthe advice again.
It gong to be about two or more weeks before I can get back to really working but I'll get there and hopefully keep blowing minds with what I have.

Glad to see you back and hopefully better, Marshall. That sure sounded like some scary stuff...

It was there was a point where I thought I wasn't goin to make it. I still have dialysis about once every two weeks. Before it was twice a day to calm the virus count. But I'm recovering and hoping that it doesn't come back. Thanks looking to making more cues, jps, and cases. I'm looking to have pictures soon as I can get back to be around the elements of wood dust and paint. Really excited about showing everyone my new stuff I've developed while in the hospital like ........ Well I'll make it first and get a patent before I show everyone but, I'm sure I'll surprise people. Thanks again.

I just had a conversation with Marshall, and he gave me a sneak preview of his joint protectors, and all I can say is WOW! The level of detail is amazing. He has some incredible talent and imagination. I don't want to get involved in a pissing contest saying his are better than someone else's, because I think everyone does great work, including Marshall. He has some great outside the box ideas, and his love for his work clearly shows when you see it, and talking to him reinforces how passionate he is about what he does.

Marshall, you are a true artist, and I hope you are always as passionate about what you do as you sounded tonight. It was great to talk to you, and I wish you all the best in the future. I think people will really like what you are doing with the joint protectors once you unveil them to the world.

Keep up the good work, and stay healthy.

Johnny

Judging from his cues and the joint protectors I saw tonight, Piercy Exclusive is going to be a major player in the custom cue market.

This is good news. Never heard of the stuff until a friend in Hawaii clued me. A terrible thing to contract.

Joint protectors? Fancy ones have tempted me for years, but so far I stick with plastic. I'm just a cheapskate, I guess.
