Joint Stuck , Any ideeas?

A friend of mine has a Lucasi with a 314-2 shaft . The joint is unilock (quick release) and the shaft wont unscrew from the butt. If i tap on the side near the joint it does move a little if i force it but that's all . Any ideeas how can i unscrew it?

Hopefully this is not the case with your friends cue, but if it is, its bad news. Try some penetrating oil maybe.

Then let it sit tip down before loosening.

If all else fails, use a compound-leverage pipe wrench!

This is why I am not a fan of the UniLock joint. The same happened to me on my BK. You have to keep the pin clean and be careful of radical temperature changes.
