i would like a wood on wood joint but im afraid it will need maintenance, and how can u link your style of play with the joint and tip, and shaft size you will need. also, can you guys recomend some nice tips on the softer side i have a lepro tip right now and i don like it its too hard.
thanks guys

Wood to wood is great with a radial pin or 3/8 10 or 11 they play great and shaft threads arn't much of a problem. Try an Everest tip one time and you might quit looking for a different tip like I have, they play great and very consistant. Order a wood to wood jointed cue from AZ'er JoeyinCali since you live there and if you ever have problems he will take care of you.--Leonard

Or you might try a Talisman soft. I've had good luck with those and excellent feed back from customers.

My favorite is a 3/8th x 10 pin with phenolic collars.

joints

ty for the info, i was wondering from what here i feel like wood joints make the cue fragile. when you have a wood joint are you still able to hit hard for those tricky shots

You probably need to try different type jointed cues if you are near a place you can do that. I have quite a few cues and the steel jointed cues always seem to hit better for me. It is all what you prefer.
