I priced the trip from San Francisco two weeks before the start. About $1200 including the flight (on Lufthansa) and an up-scale hotel for six nights.
LOL, I don't believe that. It's more then that for a roundtrip flight from Baltimore to Louisville and staying at that shithole Caesers for a week at Derby at the group rate.

Yes, it is hard to believe. I'm not surprised that Poland is inexpensive, but the intercontinental flight on a major airline amazed me. I just priced it again and if I leave tomorrow the flight+hotel is about $1200 -- this time on British Airways. Almost 20 hours for the flight, though.

Spend a little more and book on a jet.

That’s why I travel international often. It’s not expensive and fun to see new places and regular stops. Once you know how to travel international it’s not a big deal.

I use Amex points for the long flights and when you know where stay that’s not expensive either. Time is the hard part.
