This is the BEST stop on the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour, as far as I'm concerned. The atmosphere is EXCELLENT, and everybody at the Golden Cue goes out of their way to make sure each player has everything they need.

Do not stay at the Marriott, if you are traveling. I got my laptop stolen there.

The Holiday Inn Express is the BEST, BEST, BEST place. The beds are so comfortable, and the whole place is CLEAN and NICE, with a 5-minute drive to the pool room.

Every year, this tournament happens right around April 15th, Tax Day, dag nab it. I cannot go this year, but this is one Joss event that I give a thumbs-up and a five stars to.

Oh, yeah. OTB down the street, ambrosial Italian delicacies everywhere, homemade meals right in the pool room, and then there's the whole gang at Joe's Grill right next door. :D

Will Mike Webb be there to service cue repairs?

He usually goes to this tournament in Albany, but I guess it depends on his schedule.

Mike and I shared many a morning coffee and cigarettes at a whole bunch of tournaments. He is a hard-working son of a gun and an early riser like me.

Here's a picture of me and Mike taken by Diana Hoppe (Poolpics by Hoppe). He hates to get his picture taken, as do I, and so that is why this is a rare picture of the both of us, indeed. :o

Man, that is very, very, very nice. WOW! :)

We can't make it up there this year. Taxes that I owed wiped me out. :(

Wishing y'all a GREAT event, as I know it will be. Be sure to post some updates, Mike! Pictures would be cool, too! :p

And I want to know what Italian delicacies the Spinellis will be serving this weekend to the players and attendees. I hope it is the meatball subs. YUMMIE! :D

Jennie,

Hopefully I will get to see you guys at Snookers in May. Been a long time. Tell Keith to clean off his cue and get his butt(both of them) up here :)

Regards,
Koop

On the Winner's side after the first day is Dennis Hatch, Mike Zuglan, Bucky Souvanthong(sp?), and Dan Heidrich(sp?).

Karen Corr and Tom Dalfonso are on the 1 loss side, along with some locals.

Hope I didn't screw that up.

OK- To end off the day & Tourney:

1- Dennis Hatch
2- Dan Heidrich
3- Mike Zuglan
4- Ed Abrahams (sp?)
5- Tom Dalfonso
6-8 Bucky Souvanthong, Karen Corr, and someone else. I showed up late and missed the first elimination matches. Sorry. :(

On the plus side- I won the cue Raffle! Haha- so it was a god day.

Does anyone know if there is a guy named Sly still works at Golden Cue? It's probably been nearly 10 years since I was last at that pool room.
