My teammate has a Pechauer. I'll try his out on Monday and see.AFAIK any 5/16x14 jp will fit. Most jp threads have enough leeway that they'll go on any 5/16x14 pin. Never seen any advertised as to fit only that pin.
Those are nice. I just want to be sure of the threads, and if a standard 5/16x14 fits.I've got these on my Jensen. Really nice j/ps. http://piconecues.com/id3.html
Like i said i've never seen any jp's marked for just that pin. the threads in all the variations are close and jp's are all roomy enough for all.My teammate has a Pechauer. I'll try his out on Monday and see.

I've got a set that I purchased 20 years ago. They are great joint protectors.I've got these on my Jensen. Really nice j/ps. http://piconecues.com/id3.html
That's actually not an Acme pin. They were mostly 3/8 X 10, and had very flat edges to the points of the threads. I suspect any set of 5/16 X 14 joint protectors will do you just fine.I just bought a 1991 Joss West. It has a modified Acme 5/16x14 joint (so i was told that what it is). Does anyone know where i can find joint protectors for it, or know someone that can make them?

A friend had a plastic set that I bought for $5 and just use the shaft protector to mark my back up shaft in my cue case. Discarded the other half.in decades of playing and travels i have never heard of anyone who had their joints in any way damaged while in their cases and even when not.
personally in my mind they are a waste of money and time messing with them.
As fancy as many of these are, protecting the joint would seem secondary.in decades of playing and travels i have never heard of anyone who had their joints in any way damaged while in their cases and even when not.

Even on j/ps? I'm talking about the generic plastic kind. They have pretty loose tolerances. No Sir
5/16x14 acme will fit the standard 5/16x14 but regulars will not fit the Acme.
HUH?? 3/8x10?? Never heard that before. Was always told that bill used a 5/16x14acme for a while. I know his big pin joints were 3/8x10 but not the steel piloted joints. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/josswest-pin.167420/That's actually not an Acme pin. Yes, even on jp's. The Acme will not screw in the female regular. There are also 2 different o.d. 5/16 acme screws out there. Mr. Strouds had an o.d. of .323Even on j/ps? I'm talking about the generic plastic kind. They have pretty loose tolerances.
Agreed.HUH?? 3/8x10?? Never heard that before. Was always told that bill used a 5/16x14acme for a while. I know his big pin joints were 3/8x10 but not the steel piloted joints. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/josswest-pin.167420/
Did Scruggs use them on just flat-face or on piloted joints too?Agreed.
Scrugs and Gulyassy use the 3/8x10 Acme.
Wildwing, he's all yours. Lol
I believe just flat faced.Did Scruggs use them on just flat-face or on piloted joints too?
