i just got a steal on a joss west and was wondering what it would be worth. It has the w sideways so i know it is between 72/80 but it is just plain tulipwood no inlay or nothing but has a ivory joint and 2 shafts one 12.5mm and one 13mm. I gave a buddy 200.00 for it he had a wheeler sp and the joss both for 200.00 i think i made the right choice.

Run back and get the Wheeler, too, if it is still available for $200. You should be able to make about $100 off of that. Leave him with the Joss, but yes, you made the best deal by far in terms of resale. Your JW should bring about $500-600, in my opinion. Possibly more if it has ivory ferrules.

I`ve seen early Josswests with points but no veneers or inlays go for 700 more than once. You made a great acquisition!

Although they sometimes go for more, I agree with Cuenut that you should expect $500-600 for the cue.

thanks for the info. the wheeler is already gone but i plan on just keeping the joss for a while it has no where to go but up i guess.

Good deal

Hope they are not stolen! $500.00 is low except for one thing the sideways logoed cues usually are not the best hitters he has made and a sharp collector will stay away. Bam you bad.
I can't wait to get that Webb sneaky it will be a monster for snooker!
Thanks Bama
Nick

I will buy it right now for 500 if you want to sell it as long as it isn't stolen......I've been looking for another one ever since I sold my last one to JK marshall cues. PM me if you are interested.
