Joss west on Ebay????????

Thank you for the info on this Johnny.

As always I find this is an invaluable tool to protect me from the bad listings on ebay. :)

I wonder if Bill will contact ebay? I would not want anyone to miss represent my artwork on ebay......

Good work gang. Bugs.

Nice joint effort on this one!!! Now, who's gonna forward that e-mail to the seller, so he can start breaking the news to all those bidders???!!! :)

I'm starting to wonder if this wasn't a fraud from the start.

He says in the ad it "looks like" a J with a W or an M???

This way he can play dumb and let people think what they want, it's not his fault if people want to think it's a Josswest.

well, i bid on it in the very beginning, but after reading this thread, i'm out. but "jkmarshall cues" usually only buys high-end cues. i hope he's reading this thread also.

This guy owns a pawn shop and doesn't have a working camera or a way to either authenticate it is or is not a JW, even though it could mean hundreds? I don't buy it. He further states not only that it has a J or W or M, but that it is a "sideways" M or W. Here is a copy of his description:

THERE IS A SYMBOL ON THE BUTT CAP, BUTT I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. IT'S LIKE A LETTER"J" WITH A SIDEWAYS LETTER "W" OR "M". I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU BETTER PICTURES

Bill Stroud flatly states this is NOT a JW, people have informed him, yet he does not inform his potential customers of the findings? Sounds somewhat fishy to me....real fishy.

It's getting even more fishy now.

We all of a sudden have a 0 bidder "josh1969cars" bidding it up.

This thing is really starting to stink.........

I just dropped jkmarshallcues a quick line, and let him know about this thread. Hopefully, he takes heed.

WOW! My 100th post...and I used it to fight crime! Yay, me!!! :)

Good work you guys! I thought the cue was a real JW too.

I've contacted E-Bay about the auction. Hopefully it will be cancelled, although he is straddling the line at the moment.

Chris

The guy is either real slick or real stupid.

He owns a pawn shop but doesn't know what a Josswest is (but he knows meucci and McDermott's)........he owns a pawnshop but doesn't have a camera to take closeup pictures........

He just posts the messages that fuel the idea of the cue being a Josswest......

technically, he did not claim that its a josswest so perhaps ur case against him isnt all that strong chris...

True, I have a weak case. He is right between several violations.

I don't see where he's done ANYTHING wrong or even close to wrong. You don't know him. He may just be ignorant of all cues except the popular production ones. He's perhaps in a very small town and hasn't seen anything else. (I know it says Knoxville, but he could be 50 miles or so away from Knoxville)

There is only a marginal argument to cancel the auction. Mine is this:

He's been informed the cue is a fake, yet just publishes the questions that offer him money as a JW. The simple fact that the cue has a fake "JW" on it but is not a JW makes it a counterfeit item. He has reasonable evidence (from me and others) that the cue is counterfeit.

Yeah, I see your point. I sent him an email suggesting that he end the auction and relist it as an unkown cue that has been confirmed NOT to be a Josswest.

Well, jkmarshall has pulled his bids so I guess he got the messages. :)
Good deal! I got an e-mail from jkmarshallcues this morning. I suggested (along with a few more of us, I'm sure) that he look at this forum thread, and make an informed decision about what he really wanted to do about this cue....

He said "thanks! I'm retracting my bid now!"

Good to know he listened to some of us cue freaks out there!
