i had a judd cue a while ago. waited like 8 months to get it and to tell you the truth i didn't like it. the weight felt like it was way in the back and the furell (i don't spell so good) seemed to make the cue feel, less than crisp. still it made the cueball do everything i wanted i just didn't care for the hit

Judd

I love my Judd. Their customer service is great. Judd or Trudy will take time assist you in anyway possible.

You found a cue that did everything you wanted and you didn't like it? If I found ONE THING ON THIS EARTH I could say that about, I would keep it, relish it and kill if anyone came near it.

just about any cue'll do what you want. i just didn't like the feel. maybe i had a bad one. i'll tell you one thing though the shafts i've seen on other judds looked like better wood than what i got. not that i'm a cuemaker or nothing. i think it was the furrel+tip i didn't like

Excellent Cues

So he sold it to me. Changed the tip to a Moori and the cue is outstanding!! Had nothing to do with the ferrule. Remember, this is a cue that Efren Reyes played for a long time while he was ,I think, at the penacle of his career. Actually scratch that, he is still at the penacle of his career. Fullers are great people and really stand behind their product. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

Got a bad one???

Might be nice if you don't come on and slam a cue you sold to another AZ member. Especially saying " got a bad one!!" "Bad wood on the shafts!" Nice touch Dude! Really ought to help me with the resale value!

Quality cue made by quality people. Their design and workmanship is top of the line. A Judd cue will hold it's value well, and may even appreciate in value over time. They are highly regarded by most people who deal in cues.

judd opinion

i have a conversion by judd and the wormanship is great and the hit is real nice. got one for sale.:D

By the way, when your cue comes up for sale wayneward, keep me in mind. Beautiful cue and an excellent player...great combination.

hay man with the hit of a cue being subjective my opinion should be take for what it is, an opinion. besides i didn't say i sold it to you specifically, you did that. the cue preformed like a cue should, i just didn't care for it. this thread was asking for an opinion so i gave mine. i still think the cue looked great and since you said you liked the way it played i figured we both walked away winners.

i never said that the cue played jam up or hit a ton or anything i said i had a cue in mint condition for sale and asked if anyone wanted it. i think i even mentioned in a pm that a tip change might help.

this has gotten kind of long but from the breif conversations i had with mr fuller and he was very helpful and polite. not trying to knock the cue or maker but every opinion i read now days says the cue played great or this or that. and the second i make a comment about not liking it it makes me look like a jerk. what's up with that

Very Nice Sir ...

Very Nice Judd Sir....

As for the original question, I have 2 Judds that I love. Judd and Trudy are class acts that really take care of their customers. For example, replacment shafts are only $100. Some of these cuemakers kill me with this $300 for a new shaft garbage.

Just not cool.

Got a bad one and bad wood on the shafts is the issue. Thats a statement and is not subjective like the "hit'. And anyone on here can look up who bought your cue in a couple of seconds. I didn't imply that you are a jerk. It just was not a cool thing to do and something I definitely would not have done after selling to another member. And I am happy with the cue. It is a great playing cue. I was more than happy with the purchase.

my bad bro maybe my comments about the shaft wood and having gotten a bad one were way out of line. i'm not a cue maker and i've seen many a better shooter than me playing with judds (efrin, monica webb, you, not that i've seen you, the list goes on and on)

I have owned a few Judd cues and have liked them all. His workmanship is super clean, nice attention to detail and they play well IMHO. Trudy is the person that you would most likely deal with when calling and she is a super nice lady. I would say that it would be hard to go wrong with a Judd. His prices were very fair also if I remember correctly!

i agree with you 100 percent. The poster asked for opinions on judd cues and you said nothing negative(although if you had it would have been o.k. as well if you had a negative experience) and simply said the hit wasn't for you.

I had a JT-1 about 5 years ago. The cue had an outstanding hit. But mine too was butt heavy... a 58'' cue that balanced at 17" from the rear. I sold the cue to a friend who liked everthing about it. So, to each his own.

Out of Line

Actually I think I am the one out of line here. This is something I should have handled thru a PM. Not on this thread. My apology to Cue Freak and everyone. Sometimes you just have to take a while and think about what you are about to say. I never meant for this to sound like a bad comment on Sam (poolplayer2093). We had an excellent transaction. So I guess it was really 'My Bad'.
