Great to hear. Quite a few wheeler and dealers are saying they are in.
BTW I heard a rumor someone said they had a GPS stolen, involving a broken window, from the parking lot at PTM. To my knowledge that has never happened.

I'll bring several Lucky cues. Since Rodney won the US Open and took 2nd in the Japan 10 ball event with a Lucky cue, there has been some interest lately. These cues are very rare in this country (6 imported to date). I'll have 4 of them.

In the tournament room we will be running a lot of vintage pool videos on the big screen. Caras, Mosconi etc...
We have a ouji board and we are going to conduct a séance to try and talk to George Balabushka...

I want to thank Joe and Mark for staging this event.
Pool Table Magic is a very nice room and facility and the tourney was run very professionally. It was nice to meet AZ members in person as well as play with some new shooters.
There were some nice cues on display, some for show and others for sale. If Joe and Mark ever do this again, I will be sure to make plans to display my Palmers.

Yep, great place, good food, good tables. Tournament was fun. Lots of items for raffle.
I had great time, saw many old friends, made new friends.

I played. Won first 2, lost third, won fourth and then lost. No money but, it was fun.

.....spent another terrific weekend at Pool Table Magic. Mark and Joe did a great job making everyone feel welcome and they put on a really good show. Thanks again for you efforts to support pool, poll cue makers, players, and the spectators that enjoy the game.

First.. thank you all for coming. Mark and I really like doing these, even with the occasional grumble for foot traffic, or some guys not showing. People have said to charge for tables because that shows if someone is serious or not.. well you know its not about the money aspect. We love having people who are enthusiastic about the game and the cues, we would have one a month if it would draw.
This tournament was one of the better player showings we had and we struggled with the classes and cut off's. Now as far as the players, we asked for input and there was a few people who said this guy, or that guy was a low A, but someone else swore he wasn't.
Here is MY feeling, if people continue to have the pool player mentality and act like a pool player, you will be treated like a pool player in the future. You have an opportunity to enjoy the game and the cues for a day FOR FREE and you want to rob a BCD tournament, look at yourself in the mirror, then look at the game. Same with the foot traffic, a few collectors that said they would come couldn't, and things happen. Again, we provided the venue, ask yourself when you were out playing for a few weeks, did you tell anyone that something was going on this Saturday? I bet the answer is probably no.. We like to think the adage applies, if you build it they will come.... if pool's participants, and owners, and all involved don't start thinking big picture, there is going to be some big problems sooner than later.
In other words, pool the game, collecting cues, anything related, is going to need a lot of help and a guys should start thinking constructively and not destructively...
I hope some of the great conversation we had with other people takes root. We hope other people try and get Tourney-shows or Shownaments, going. Room owners, if they have the spare room should be tickled if someone helped with something as a side bar to their tourney.
Moving forward, I will look at other schedules so we don't compete and will probably have an open tournament 50 or 75 entry.
Room feedback has always been excellent and we are looking forward to doing the next one, we will schedule it earlier and it will be bigger... there are always bugs to iron out, so not a big deal....
It was our pleasure to have everyone and meet Cleiton, and Wes for the first time, as well as quite a few others.

This was a very pleasurable day for me to come and play in this Pool Table Magic Tourney and get to say hello to some old friends and to meet a few new ones.
Mark's room is one of the best I have been in ever. All tables are in great shape and well lit. The music was terrific, at the exact right volume to enjoy while not being distracting to your game.
The elevated bar area has a perfect rail setup overlooking the approx dozen or so tables in this main room. This section has a built in flat top table and chairs running it's entire length for comfy eating and drinking while enjoying the action.
Or you can do a 180 and belly up to the bar featuring a pool-table motif. the bartop surface is in green laminate with a brown table rail edge complete with pearl sights. :thumbup:
There is wonderful pool memorabilia everywhere you look; very museum-like.
Up the hallway past the bathrooms (spotless, btw :smile
there is a room with 2 beautiful anniversary tables and a magnificent Brunswick 4-platter rotating cue rack. I believe each platter holds 12 cues making this a 48-place cue holder. 
My friend Gian (drawman on az) was set up in this room with his magnificent cues including some very high end Lucky cues that were simply gorgeous.
Continuing through was another room where a few more cue vendors, including our Cleiton, were displaying their items.
There def was some nice cue candy to look at.
In the tourney I made it to, I believe, round 6, playing from about 1 til 11:30 pm. I especially enjoyed my last match which was a battle royale with a solid shooter and really nice guy, Josh. He said he knew me from reading az but he is a lurker and not a poster. We had a great battle to the end where he bested me with a nice match-ending runout. Josh, if you're reading this, it was a pleasure playing with you. Nice shooting and nice cue that you made for yourself. :thumbup:
The atmosphere for this meet and greet was terrific. Big thank you to JV and Mark for putting this nice event on for us AZ'ers to get together. A perfect venue and a great group of guys. :smile:
Obviously, Mark and JV are interested in doing their part to keep pool moving in the right direction. This weekend was a fine example of it.
Looking forward to getting back over there soon.

Brian, the pleasure was mine. Nice shooting, and I love your Olney. Beautiful cue.
I had a great time- especially enjoyed talking to Tony from Black Boar, who has a ton of
cue building knowledge.
I did not notice any serious issues with the handicapping. It is always dicey trying to handicap a
pool tournament, and you can't please everybody.

Sounds like you had a great time and played some good matches.
I did not attend the event although I once played at pool table magic and have met
and spoken to Mark from time to time. (Great Guy and incredibly knowledgeable )
I think what mark and his partner did for the small community of players and cue builders/dealers Was great. --- hope to attend next time.
