WHO CAN JAY HELFERT BEAT? I NEVER SAW HIM BEAT ANYONE ! HE WAS AROUND TEXAS IN THE 70'S AND I NEVER SAW HIM PLAY ANYONE , ALL THIS TIME I PLAYED BUDDY 5 TIMES IN SHREVEPORT AND GRADY IN WICHITA FALLS TWICE AND 3 TIMES AT CHESTER'S "TRUELOVE'S IN OKC. ALSO BROKE EVEN WITH ST. LOUIE, LOUIE IN DALLAS. ALL THIS TIME I NEVER SAW U BEAT ANYONE JAY? SPARKY

Unlike you Sparky, I avoided the high profile players. I wasn't that into going off. Thanks for the compliment anyway. It's just the way I like it. To this day, people ask me if I play pool when I'm at tournaments. And after we play, they are singing a different tune. I never get any respect. Well, that's fine with me.

At my advanced age, I still enjoy a spirited game of Banks once in a while. Now, that I'm no longer in any danger of going broke, I will play a good player once in a while. If you ever run into me, we can play some short rack Banks. I'll be glad to make a donation to your trust fund.

We had 32 for the mini. A full field!

That is great, I have fond memories of Hollywood Boulvard, and working at the F & W Woodworths, Next To Fredricks of Hollywood, in the 1960's There was no Hollywood Billiards there then.
