I don't do many of these, but just got one back and thought I pass this photo on to any one considering using the uni-loc aluminium jump pin.
It snapped right at the top of the threading, you can see a void in the aluminiun right below the "v" in the picture. I definitely wouldn't recommend using these. I made this cue for a local friend of mine about
3 years ago, so I have a pretty good idea that it wasn't abused. If I remember correctly, I only made two with this pin and the other one is local, so I can keep my eyes on it.
