Old school here, which may explain why I am not crazy about jump shots. Also very defensive in my old age. Although I carry a jump stick in my bag, I rarely use it but am pretty succesful with it. Not too bad for never practicing jump shots. Now to the point of this thread. I can not imagine that the cue when executing a jump only contacts the cue ball one time! Seems like it would double hit or stay pushing through. I know the jump is legal and someone years ago surely addressed the whole double hit thing on jump shots. In this video age someone must have a slowmotion video of this highly skilled ( whatever ) shot showing either one hit or the double hit or push. Some believe this jump shot brings great excitement to the game. I believe it cheapens the game. The whole push controversy is very grey area to most players. And now the BCA says it is okay to push when balls are frozen, although very illegal for some 30 years. This is just a testament to how grey the whole thing is anyway. Sure would like to see several slo mos of the jump. Surely some will show a double hit. Maybe I am confused and the double hit is allowed on jumps only? Enlighten me.
