I was wondering if there has ever been a US player who has won the world junior championships. I did some research but could find no site that listed past champions. Anyone know of any past World US junior champions?

I was just curious. How long has your son (Manny) been playing? What state do you guys play out of? And last, will you guys be attending the Super Billiards Expo in Valley Forge this year?

My son Manny has been playing for 1yr 5 months now, He started in Oct. 2009. We play out of shooters in Olathe Kansas.

We would love to attend the super billiards expo, but unfortunately We do not have any sponsors to cover the cost .

We ourselves at this time are gearing up for the junior event again this year.

And cannot afford to attend. I think it is a shame that I won`t be able to get him there, So he can witness an event like that and to help promote junior pool and pool in general

Hector. I dont know which speed your son plays, but its a shame that there is no federation in US wich is able to give some kind of support to the top 3-5 juniors and bring them to at least a couple of big tournaments a year.

Most european federations, even if they dont have that much money, give the juniors high priority and sponsor them at least to the European Championship each year. Hopefully something similar can happen in US also in the future
 
I'd like to see Brendan Crockett and Landon Shuffett take a shot at this years title. Two very good players.

I agree we here in the states need to get a junior pool association going that can help subsidize junior pool players to major events.

As of now I really don`t know of any, I know other countries have pool schools payed for by the goverment for junior players . Thats why in my opinion The US is falling behind in world pool events. Since other countries have a deep pool of players to pool from,Both in junior pool and professional pool.
