Just announced--johnny vs ignacio!

So let me get this straight. They are playing a race to 25, 10 ball, call shot-call safe. With one of the slowest players ever.

If this is streamed, are they going to pay me to watch this snooze fest? I'll set the line at 6.5 hours.

Someone mention the call shot call safe rules sucks and takes away excitement out of the game, .....WHAT?!! My personal opinion is that at a pro level like these guys, everything should be called, as a matter of fact, I'm also a proponent of taking the 9 on the break wins out of the equation, same as 10 ball. For example, for those of you that don't like it, you're playing a race to 10, hill hill match, you break and make nothing, he shoots the 1 on the side, nice and clean, the cue ball bounce from the rail and makes the 9 on the corner, he wins,.......yeah right!
Will never gamble a cent without call shot call safety rule.

The WPA changed the rules of my favorite rotation game, a game I've been playing for 25+ years, so I don't see why I should be liking these rules. I know why they did it, but I don't have to like it. It's not fun for me to watch call safety / call shot. Like it all you want, but I hope you can see my point of view of not liking it.

It's kind of like eating your favorite donut at the Krispy Kreme for decades, and then they change their recipe to something healthier. Some people are going to love the change, especially if they never ate Krispy Kreme before. I can understand why they would make the changes, but if I loved the complete decadence of Krispy Kreme for years and years, don't expect me to embrace the new stuff just because you like it.

At least people are starting to look at the Texas Express rules. Worst thing to ever happen to pool is Texas express. I think it would be better if you eliminated the call safe and kept the rest of the rules. We would find out how good these guys really are.
 
On ABR Thursday, Johnny said he was still thinking about streaming the match.

It's now less than 5 hours until the planned start time.

I was looking for the answer to this, but never saw or heard anything. I guess they're not streaming it. It was supposed to start at 6PM Eastern.

Always been a fan of Archer, but I like Ignacio in this also.

I don't know why Johnny wants to play on a super tight table, he cannot out stroke Jeffrey, the guy is arguably only second to Jayson in the "straightness" category...
Only way for Johnny to win is to slow play and bore Jeffrey to death lol
