I use these. The only thing I don't like is the strong smell that lasts a day or so when you open a new one.

Common sense would dictate letting it 'air dry' outside for a day or so.

Black- Balled.... hope you noticed in the lower right corner ... that the Rubber is rolled in a donut waiting to slip on shaft and roll to the butt!

Yup.
Insert from tip end until secure, roll up and remove.
Flip ring over and roll from tip end to desired bottom location. Unroll ring toward tip.
