i just received this latest work from Keith Josey and is the most elaborate cue he's ever built. Keith really wanted this to come out nice and boy did it ever. the pics just don't do this cue justice. it's pink ivory wood and ebony base and is adorned with over 320 inlays including pearl, silver, ivory, and ebony.

Wow!!!! Other Thn The 2 I Saw Pictures Of From You, This Is The Nicest Josey I've Seen. (i Think The Other Was Called The Ivory Tower) Absolutely Awesome. Enjoy It.

Tim, that's one fancy smanshy cue. Sharp colors and contrast and I especially like the ring work at the joint and butt....unique and it adds a nice touch. Great job !!

Nice tolerances in the inlay work. No glue seams visible at all, and considering the colors used, this is exceptional work.

Some serious eye candy there, Tim. :D Beyond that, I am somewhat speechless...what are the odds?! Lol! ;) :)

Simply awesome cue...and I can see why it took sooooo long. :D

thanks Sean, i also like how Keith decided to do just put a simple ivory rings throughout the butt. i also thought it was a good touch to ad a pink ivory ring below the ivory one in the shaft collars to really tie the shafts to the butt. as for the 16 silver dots in the collars and cap, thats how it was designed and with everything together it really does give it a very unique look. i wish you could see the cue as light hits it.....WOW!! the pearl and silver just jump off the cue somethin' fierce...... anyway thanks again for the good words.

Incredible, and just in time for Halloween to go with a pimp costume;)

Very, very impressive cue you have.

ROTFLMAO!! yea there is a poster here that has an avatar of what i think is himself in a pimp outfit and this cue would go perfect with that getup!!

skins ----------- contemplating buying a pink suit, hat, and gator shoes :D

I know I've seen this posted over a year ago. Sometime early 2006. It was about 80% done. Is this the same cue?

yes, it was in the "Pink Ivory" thread. when you saw it, it needed inlays in the sleeve and the silver dot work done throughout the cue, joint collars ( the shafts waiting for their final cuts), and cap. these were the main reasons why posting it's completion was delayed. Keith takes pride in the shaft's he makes and with this cue there was no exception. these shafts are as good as it gets and with the other work needed to complete the cue, the whole experience was well worth the wait.

how much would keith charge for something similar?

well the key word here is "similar" because this is a 1 of 1 and will never be duplicated. if you want a cue using a different design but uses, let's say, the same "canvas" and similar materials you can pm me and we could talk about it. the only thing i can say for sure is that this type of cue takes allot of time to build and depending on the design and materials you choose, that will be what determines a fair price.

yea, i think that's very important and shows great attention to detail by Keith. i really like when inlay work become seamless to the base wood and give the cue a kind of "printed on" look.

in fact it isn't named yet Chris and i like the name "EMPEROR". i'll think on it a bit and pass that by Keith. who knows, your suggestion may become part of the history of this cue. i let you know what's decided. cool.....:)
