About a week ago I finally settled on buying a 2x4 custom leather tooled case from John Barton. He was very polite and courteous when dealing with me. I first told him I loved the design on the Whimsy case but would like to spend a little less. He generously offer me a price reduction that I could not refuse. I gladly accpeted his offer and put down the full payment. I kept in online communication with him (which I must say was just as convenient as phone) and when I asked for tracking information on the case He honestly told me he had to ship it 2 days late because of a business trip and not only that in no time he told me that he already did a refund of $50 because of the delay and paid the international shipping fee himself. In no more than 5 days the case was delivered to my front door, it was packaged "ridiculously" well and protected. Took me 5 minutes just to unwrap and take the case out, but I didn't mind it at all.
The case looked wayyyyyy better in person than the pictures on the website. Personally I love every single detail on this particular case, the color combination, the big carved flowers and everything else. But most importantly, mann this case deliver protection. I put my jump/break and playing cue in there (love the springs btw) and close the lid and shook it and I did not feel anything moving inside the case. I didn't realize the side zippers on the pockets but I found it very convenient and a smart design.
The same night I took the case to my local pool room "Sharky Billiards" on Route 1, everyone was starring at my case, couple of old timers complimented it and I felt very proud.
I just want to say "Thank You" to John Barton for introducing me his cases after I posted the "WTB Custom 2x4 Case" Thread. And for those who don't know about his cases please make a visit to his website (www.jbcases.com) or send him an email just see what he can offer you, I bet he will not dissapoint you. As for my Whimsy case, I 'm keeping it, I don't care if somebody offer me $2000 for the case, to me it's a priceless piece of collection I will always have.
