Just something to share (diagram)

One week ago I was in this situation after a missed pushout.
I would let the CB near the three to have a jump shot up the eight.
But I was too long. So my opponent let me play.
What can I do from here? I just try to touch the one but...

CueTable Help

I won the game:D

Looking at the table... I think I'd kick at the 1. The only other good option I see is hitting the 9-2 and letting the 2 get up on the rail by the 6... that's not even a good option, but it's the only thing besides kicking that I would do.

Ohh... it's a 3-part thing... nice kick!.... If you did that against me I'd break my cue! lol

I don't understand how the cue-ball could have reacted like that after hitting the one though, maybe you diagrammed it wrong.

Pretty cool, but I never made page 2 and 3 in my diagram!!!! :D Is there an error? Did AZE make it on the same time, and when exported it all became one diagram in my post??????

EDIT: Stupid me, I just realized that the original poster made 3 pages on his diagram :D

The diagram is almost right. I gave a lot of "follow". I was really surprised myself of the reaction of the cueball after hitting the 1 and the cushion.:)

This seems more plausible...

CueTable Help

Right, but the six was almost on the spot I'd got to shot to touch the one without effect. So I gave a lot of following english on the CB and hit hard with a good stroke and the CB went down to the small cushion... and like it shown on the diagram.

note: it was on a good 9ft Gabriels with almost new cloth:)

The only way I think that it would even be possible for the cue to spin in that direction would be if you kicked with a lot of right english, which would have sent the ball closer to the right side of the side pocket then towards the 1 ball... something has to be really wrong with your table setup... I hate to get redundant (3rd cue table post I'm saying this in) but you can shoot that 100:1 to get the same results..

I'd even let you shoot the cue-ball from where your rock first hit that side rail... just no inside english allowed.... but then again, looking at that diagram... I might let you use the inside.

Either way, congrats on the good roll... I think someone in the world should get one good roll for every bad one I get... If that's the case, you're all in for a treat.

I'm not sure it's possible... but maybe when you hit it with all that follow the cue-ball curved so much that it hit the 1 almost full in the face... I have never seen anything like that, but I guess that makes it somewhat plausible.

I took this diagram out of my memory. When I look at it I'think that the one was a bit closer of the corner pocket, between the first and the second diamond. The CB curved a lot after hitting the first cushion. BTW if the balls are not placed by the millimeter the diagram show the principe of this shot.
