Just what song does it for you in the poolroom?

These will probably be on everyone's list, but here's my all time top 5 pool songs:

5. "How Can I Live Without You" Michael Bolton

4. "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" Carole King

3. "My Heart Will Go On" Celine Dion

2. "Killing Me Softly" Roberta Flack

1. "I Got You Babe" Sonny and Cher

Why would these songs be on my list?

I've found that so long as I KNOW the song really well, I play better. Something to do with being able to sing a song in my head and allow only the back of my head to focus on my shots...I do WAY better.

Of course, I have my preferred Genre, but I've sung everything from "Roxanne" to "Down With The Sickness" to "Hungry Like the Wolf".... And no, I won't hesitate to sing in front of strangers if it helps me play better. I'd wear headphones if I didn't feel like an A$$ doing so.

Lets say the whole Color Of Money Sountrack and especially the Clapton tune "The way that you use it". Then just about any southern rock Skynyrd, Allmans, Marshall on and on. Motown especially the Temptations. Promised land and T-r-o-u-b-l-e by Elvis Presley. Almost any classic rock...Beatles, Who, Clapton, Ted Nugent's "Dog eat eat dog" is killer and all Stevie Ray Vaughan!

For 1pocket - Loan Me a Dime, by Boz Scaggs; Tin Pan Alley and Dirty Pool, by Stevie Ray Vaughan.

I dunno, I thought these were pretty standard pool songs, right up there with "Werewolves of London" and "Bad to the Bone".

Wasn't Sonny Bono a regular at Johnston City?

as long as the roberta flack song isn't the Fugees remake....sure, Loren Hill can sing, but the ONE TIME, TWO TIMES - would have me missing - one time, two times.

"WILLIN" by Little Feat. Most any JJ Cale & "Angels Flyin too close to the ground" Willie Nelson. Truth be told I miss the pre music days when the sounds of the balls & the atmosphere was enuf.

Oh Hell, I can't believe I forgot, Anything by Waylon Jennings....I've always been cazy, Drinking and dreaming, Don't you think this outlaw bit done got out of hand, Rose in Paradise....ect. And also Steely Dan! Babaylon Sister, Reelin in the years, My old school. They are too kool!

After a marathon session and a 2 day bender its usually "Where Am I Gonna Live When I Get Home" By the mullet man Billy Ray Cyrus... LOL..seriously i'm not joking..:D :D :D

And just think about how well you can kill your rock if "Killing Me Softly" is playing.
