Justin Bergman is on a mission

Imagine if every player wrote self congratulatory posts about signing up for tournaments. That’s your job! :ROFLMAO:Whoop de do.

This is like a mechanic bragging about showing up to the garage.

He'll need to place well at one of those three events to have a chance at the Mosconi team. He's been skipping the domestic ranking events and international events, which puts him at a disadvantage.

Also, thank you for sharing this information, but I think it would be better without the sloppy AI analysis intro.
“This isn’t just about participation. It’s about dominance, consistency, and putting himself right in the middle of every meaningful conversation in the sport”

This sentence in particular has all the hallmarks of AI generated language.

Justin Bergman is showing up everywhere, competing in as many events as possible, and making his intentions crystal clear. This isn’t just about participation. It’s about dominance, consistency, and putting himself right in the middle of every meaningful conversation in the sport.

When a player stays this active, it sends a message. He’s hungry, he’s focused, and he just might have 2026 Mosconi Cup visions dancing in his head.

He's either hungry or something changed and he's chasing money....

I actually enjoy writing about pool and snooker and have been doing it a lot in recent years, not really so much on Azbilliards anymore, though. I'm not using AI to write posts on AzBilliards. I think I can write better than AI when it comes to pool and snooker. :)

FWIW, though. you might be better served to use AI yourself for punctuation purposes. "AI generated language" should hyphenated to "AI-generated language," and I'd be inclined to inset commas before and after "in particular."

Good to see, but he might have to play in a few international events to rack enough points. We'll see if he's willing to travel. He hasn't so far.

I think if he has some deep finishes in the US Open, Arizona Open, and Florida Open, it might be enough to keep him in top 3 ranking points without having to go overseas. I don't see any other American performing better than him besides Gorst and SVB. It's not like any other American besides those two do well overseas anyways, so that's a moot point.

The bar is so low that he doesn't have to outrun the nuts and not really competing with other Americans for a top 3 spot. If you put a gun to my head, I'm picking Bergman to go deeper than Sky, Billy, and Tyler in the US Open, Arizona Open, and Florida Open.

Edit: if anyone would like to put a friendly wager on that, I'm down. If I win, you buy me a Pagulayan boxer brief. If I lose, I buy you one.

I think a lot of his family, friends, and pool personalities have been in his corner, rooting for him to reach to the top. When you've got that kind of support behind you, that's saying a lot. And hearing someone like Scott Frost giving him accolades over the past few months only adds to it. That kind of respect isn’t handed out lightly. I know his dad may be his biggest fan, and that's pretty cool to have family support.

My opinion is if this is what he wants, go for it and enjoy the ride, and if he can make some dough along the way, it's a win-win for Justin.

The original post is flowery, hyperbolic, and tendentious. (I’ll add the second comma to avoid the grammar cops.) If you read my post, it notes that her language sounds like AI. Perhaps that’s just how she communicates.

“It’s about dominance” - when was the last time Bergman showed any dominance in top-level pool on a big table?

I wish him luck. We will see how he performs after deciding to do the bare minimum, which is making the effort to show up.

I look forward to the over-the-top posts celebrating Tyler Styer, FSR, Gorst, and every other player for sending in their entry fees to major tournaments.
I think this is a bit different because it's coming from Bergman, which is not the norm for him. The others are regular tournament players that we see all the time. I don't see anything bad about congratulating a player who's past his prime for getting back in the saddle and wanting to chase victory. It's admirable. Tyler will be paying entry fees for his whole life and not win anything, who cares. We are not used to seeing Bergman on the WNT pro scene.

If I could delete this thread, I would do it in a heart beat. It's hard for me to believe that the wording I use is being slammed as generated by AI.

If I can't enjoy pool and be enthusiastic about it, I'm wasting my time here.

Ah, yes, here comes the grammar police. Everyone’s favorite!
You're not yourself bro.
