Justin Bergman vs Tom Cousins

Justin looks more flustered than Tom has at any point, but looks to be getting comfortable. I still think Bergman will claw back to within a couple by the 35-40th frame.

14-9 and they're going to the other match now. Cousins could have made it to 15, having made a great masse-kick shot, but touch Bergman's ball with his hand, resulting in Justin running out. Great match from what I've seen so far. Not sure if this is a one night or two night match.
 
I've never watched a pool livestream before, but it would be great if you could rewind parts of this. Even if I pause it, it jumps to the live play when I resume.
 
If I had known about this earlier I would have put money on Tom Cousins. I like Bergman but those UK players are on a whole different level of playing 8 ball on smaller tables. Like others have said, it's mainly because they see patterns better and Tom Cousins moves around the table without a care in the world. Seriously, it looked like nothing ever bothers that guy.

On a side note, and I'm sure it's because of the KC open and the UP promoters did not want this to be any longer, but a race to 30 barbox 8 ball for $100k? I do not care for these dopey long set matches, but does anyone else think it should have been a race to 50?

No, 30 seems just about right. We don't really know anything about the funds or streaming money, plus any savers in place.

I think a race to 50 would have been better. Looks like it's going to be a pretty good winning margin here for Cousins. Justin didn't play like he normally does. Maybe his new CF shaft is taking some getting used to. I wonder if he was forced into using it tonight?
Either way, Tom is playing solid, and keeps growing that lead.
 
29-24. Tom definitely isn't out of Justin's league. He was plagued by bad breaking at the start, but still played very well. Two games the other way could have made this very different.
