Yeah, because baseball is suffering from "slow play", only a billion folks watched the World Series. Only 30K fans fill up a stadium to watch it live, and another couple hundred thousand watching from home. Heck, they even get "time outs". Heck, they have replay. Pitching changes. Pitch hitters. Pitch runners. Numerous pitching changes, sometimes in the same inning.

Just to clarify, in Toronto, a sell out crowd at the rogers Center has a gate of 48,000 fans and during the playoffs had peaked at 15 million viewers. Just sayin. :)

Maybe you missed the part where the thread originator said "Somebody needs to tell him to get his arrogant head out of his ass."

Huh?

I don't think anyone is saying his slower play makes him an arrogant tool.

Seems like a cool guy to me. Just slow.

Except this isn't some backroom match. This is PPV, and being marketed as entertainment. Anyone that says they are entertained by someone taking 2 minutes on every shot is lying.

in that case, watching pool hall junkies instead is probably more your speed

The question is why?

I've watched him play in one pocket tournaments and he can play faster.

So is it the money? That would be my guess. If the bet makes you play outside of your personal rhythm (slower or faster), then the bet might be too high.

Just speculating, but I don't think I'm too far off.

I have no idear how much ( if any???? ) that he has of his own action - for all I know he may actually have all of it who knows but doubtful. Anyway my point was this - when it comes down to action the money often times turns even the coolest cats into the biggest McNitters!!!! To be fair about it, playing a tourney and playing FOR THE CHEÈEEEZ is two totally different worlds. Think about it, you pay your entry fee ( just say $250 ) and you go play. There's not a whole lot on the line. U go and play and say you have a bad set. The most that you CAN LOSE and have on the line is that $250 ( your entry fee ) and that is it. However, you grow a set and end up in ACCÇSHEEEUN and the sheet just got REAL! He's playing for whatever ( what about $400 a game or so???? ), so NOW one bad shot may cost you $400 ( maybe $800 if say yards screw it up and then your opponent has the next break - think about how many times we all done see that happen ??? ). So he MAY be trying to use it as a shark but I think it's way more likely he is just thinking more about his shots cause it's for the CHEEZ!
