Hi all. I want to buy one of these case, but, can not decide  . Any pros/cons of each case? All the input/help is appreciated. Thanx in advance :D

there both well made cases. i use a schmelke. i walk in as if i'm on business. my job? to kill someone. my tool? a modest Mali. how is it being protected? in a luggage style schmelke. just so you know, jackie gleason in the hustler used a schmelke, so did willie mosconi. i would say, your in good company. be a man, a hired hit man, use a schmelke.

If you want a high quality, functional case that's like a piece of fine luggage, get a Whitten.

If you want a gorgeous case that you will love to own forever, get a Justis.

You can't go wrong either way, although I think down the road the Justis cases will be 100% collectible, and Whittens will just be good cases.

The two best cases out there, so it's a matter of taste. To me the Whitten is smoother, and, sleeker - the Justis, more rugged and tooled leather ornamental.

cases

Both of these are fine cases, I personally use the Whittin, when clothing any of my high-end cues. The , 1 x 2 is really nice. Jack Justis, builds fine cases. both of these guys are top knotch.

Get a Whitten. Make it a 3 butt and at least 5 shaft case. Get it straight black or some combination of black and dark green. If you don't like it after you get it wait until december and I will be back in Calgary and buy it off you. =)

Bob has a Whitten and it is a class act. I don't know much about Justis except that he is a good guy. Instroke is another possibility, before you buy check into what John Barton has with the Instroke line.

Thanx Eydie. Just a quick FYI - I don't sell Instroke anymore. Occassionally I'll procure one for somebody but it's more of a favor than a business. Go to www.instroke.com for Instroke dealers.

As for the question of Justis and Whitten I guess it's like asking whether you want to buy a Corvette or a Jaguar? One speaks power and the other speaks smoothness.

I would just bypass them both and go with the one that you can take everywhere, the Hummer of cases, the Instroke :-))

Seriously, I would buy a Justis for the decoration and a Whitten for simple solidity. If I didn't make cases I would use either of them.

I like that....the Hummer of cases. :) I have often thought I would get either one of the cases mentioned, but the bottm line is that I keep coming back to my tried and true, infinitely rugged Instroke Premier vinyl case. I truly does look and feel like leather, but requires none of the care that the leather requires. Doesn't scratch or scar like leather, or spot in the rain.

I have the 1x2 config, and love the sleek look of it, much like the Whitten cases. The absolute biggest bonus to me is the wonderfully generous 15" long pocket on the front. You just don't find nice sized pockets on the smaller configuation cases from anyone.

While I have not tried either the Whitten or the Justis case, I have tried Guiseppe, Porper, and a CueMidor that I just hate....and I have found my Instroke Premier to be the best of the bunch, and worth every penny I paid....which was not a whole heck of alot!!

Ron Thomas also makes a fine cue case if you're a fan of the old Fellini style cases. :D
