i'm trying to get some, i dont think they've even been released on the market yet so it'd probably be a while till it's available in the states. but i might be able to get some soon.

What about the white ones in that photo? Is that a new model too?

Personally I love the current Kamui's, other than the cost I don't know what they could do to improve it greatly. However I like the idea of a black stained tip, it saves having to apply black sharpie around the edge every so often. (This in theory gives you better contrast making it easier to see the exact edges of the tip so place the tip more accurately.)

? they're on the kamui site

after what that guy John did here a few months ago,i don't think i would ever buy from him and i think that site is his not Kamui's.i serioulsy considered switching tips after the trouble he stirred up,but i couldn't find a tip equal.

i'm not talking about that site, i'm talking abotu the actual kamui site in japanese. theres a picture of the tip on the top right hand corner of that site.

I have them handy so I can tell you Kamui Black is a real thing, its not regarded as next gen Kamui but a higher end lines, still under experiemental process while believed will hit the market soon.

Hi All,
I have been asked about the Kamui Black several times now and I will publicly announce that the expected release of the Kamui Black tips will be in Jan of 2009. At the current time the Kamui Black Tips are being tested in the Japanese market only. Kamui will not release them to the US till all testing is complete and all the bugs are worked out. As for the pricing of the tips is still in the air but I expect them to be more than the current Kamui II. The Kamui II is an amazing tip. And I personally do not know how a Kamui Black could be more amazing. It has taken over 5 years for Kamui to prove itself in the American market. And as for the price of the tips you may want to think about how much more they really are... For the player, A lot cheaper than the other brands in the long run and a lot better in the quality of play for the player. Think about it. I do not think there are cue makers out there that do not care about the tip that goes on their cue. The tip does make a difference in how a cue plays. Kamui Japan understands quality, research and the latest technology to make their product the best it can possibly be.

This is good news for the players. Anything that takes a varible away makes your game better. Can you request some tips and let some of the people here do some of the research in the American market? Since this is where the tips will end up anyway. I am sure most of us in the community would love to have a chance to be part of the "testing" process. What better place than the people in this forum, you will get all the feedback you need, both good and bad. Make it happen, if you can.

i now a few good players that would be interested in trying and giving feedback on the tips

This is what I can do... I can ask for some testing tips before official release. I have no promises that it will happen. Kamui Japan is very strict at research.
