Kamui chalk

Dont know about the colors but I saw a special once for $25, most people I talk to have been paying $30.
As far as I know the color is not going to change.
As for the price the new retail price is up to $34.95 plus shipping each on their website.
Just don't put it down anywhere it will grow legs fast.
I just worked a tournament where one customer lost 3 of them in one weekend by leaving it on the table after he chalked.
He liked the chalk so much he kept on buying a new piece each time.
This was bad for him but very good for my Kamui chalk sales.

Much different consistency of the material its made of.
No matter what people say about this great product, it sells fairly quickly and is often out of stock.That must mean something, like people are still buying and they are having trouble keeping up with demand.
One place I inquired about the chalk said that unless I was a pro player making money from the game, they would not sell any chalk to me.It was for the pro players in their area and were not prepared to sell to any overseas customers.
If you can get the chalk, just buy it.

That's a difficult question to answer. Kamui claim it grips better than other chalks and you'll miscue less. I think that's probably true but I have miscued the first shot after chalking - although it's fair to say miscueing is my speciality.
Why don't you buy some and compare for yourself. I can't imagine you're skint.
Miscuing is primarily caused from a bad stroke or not dressing the tip properly when chalking.As long as the chalk your using is staying on your tip and your stroking well it wouldn't matter if you were using school chalk.Next time you go hit balls, wipe the chalk completely off your tip and play middle ball or close to middle ball.Besides putting draw on the ball I've done this for 3 hours practicing only miscuing once but still running racks of 9ball.Its all in the stroke!Oh I forgot,I use old National Tournament chalk.I remember a older snooker player tell me before he would leave his house to go play he would put his chalk in the microwave for about 7 seconds and said that was his secret to keep chalk fresh.I've tryed this and seemed to work fine but I never really miscue that often anyways.Goodluck
I heard from pro player that with kamui chalk you can go lower on CB. (player is in the mosconi team Europe ^^ )
Kamui has a minimum advertised pricing (MAP) policy in place for their chalk at $27.95. This means that authorized resellers are not allowed to sell the product below $27.95. You may see it selling for less on Ebay, but if you are buying from an authorized reseller, you'll be paying at least $27.95.

I play Blue Diamond chalk. Can either of these fine chalks be "overused", that is over chalked or caked on too much?

I don,t think so. Ralf Souquet chalks with kamui chalk every shot, and chalk it with both hands almost every shot
The one I don't like about the kamui chalk thing is that they don't sell wholesale to those willing to pay for it. If I want to buy a box of 12 or better at a reduced price, I couldn't . I'm sry but this sport doesn't pay out at the amateur level no where near enough to support $30 each piece of chalk. I've actually since fist fights almost happen because one guy thought the dude on the next table swiped his kamui chalk and he claimed that he owned his own. Its ridiculous to get into a scrap over simple chalk but if a guy loses or has 3 pieces stolen from him, he just blew a hundred! Thas insane as well.
Gotta agree with you. I am sure it is a fine product, but I don't make a living playing pool so I will not be spending the cash for this product. If I used this product, I would have to get a second job as I am always leaving my chalk on the table.

I hear ya! I'd have to work overtime just to pay for that chalk, lol. The only reason I have one at all is because a local player saw that was doing decent in tournaments lately, witnessed my sad and zombie like blue diamond chalk so he tossed me a have used up kamui chalk saying do me a favor and use this when you compete, let the other piece die with dignity, LOL!
Speaking of which. I'm starting a "support your broke ass players union". We take used kamui chalk donations and will write you receipts for the tax write off HA!
Why do people keep complaining and buying the product(s)? The price will never come down. So if people would just quit *****ing about it and STOP buying it the price will come down. A company can have the greatest product(s) in the world but if it will not sale for what ever reason(s) then the product is worthless.
Let this stuff sit on shelves and stock pile from lack of sales and you will see the price come way down. Or it will quit being made.

i went to a pool hall right at opening around 3pm played for about a hour and left leaving my kamui on the table well i called the place the next day and it was still there i couldnt beleave that someone had not picked it up i hurried there picked it up and since have been keeping mine in my pocket when i play
