Just thought I would give a good review on Kamui chalk as well as the Kamui medium black tip I had put on today.. I originally was one of those people laughing at the thought of people who would spend that much money on a piece of chalk.. I have been reading allot of reviews about their chalk lately and finally had to see what the rave was. Other than leaving a little more chalk on the cue ball than normal, it is amazing! Chalked it up once and 20+ shots in and I am still juicing up whitey! Never shot a whole bunch with the tip yet but it seems to feel very nice as well!
My next good review I hope to give is on the Perfect Aim DVD I have on the way!

I'm a real cheapskate, but I finally got tired of the inconsistency of Le Pros and Triangles, so I popped and got a Kamui Super Soft Black. I have to say I like it, though it's only seen two day's worth of play. We'll see how long it lasts, but my first response is favorable.

I have been using black SOFT since it came out and brown before that. There chalk may be great but I feel I don't need it. If you miscue with this tip its your own fault. I may lose part of the preshot routine by not chalking.

as i stated in a thread i started a few days ago i bought a cube last weekend. although i feel you dont need to chalk after after every shot with kamuii i still do.

its been part om my routine forever and i am not changing it just because i am using that chalk. although i have only had the chalk for 4 days i have played in 2 tournaments and 2 league nights . i have chalked after every shot and see very little wear.

at the rate of wear i see so far i feel it will last a year or more with me shooting league 3 nights a week and 1 or 2 tournaments a month.

I got 8 months from my first cube
there is still enough left in the cube that i can leave it at home, but too small to find in my case easily :)
at least until I get my new case with the sneaky chalk holder :D

I still think this is a great brand in general, I love the chalk, the black tips and the gator grip

I had a super soft put on my cue not long ago and liked it at first. Now it is starting to mushroom and I don't like it at all. As a matter of fact I am going to have my cue maker cut it off and try the soft, or maybe even medium. I kinda figured I would have this issue when I had him put on the SS but wanted to try the soft tip as I have been playing with a pretty hard tip for many years. I like the feel I get, but a mushrooming tip drives me nuts.

I call BS....

For 5bucks a tip and 5 bucks per cube of chalk kamui would be great...

For 10 bucks a tip and 10 bucks per cube of chalk kamui would be good...

For 15 bucks per tip and 15 bucks per cube they would be ok....

For 20 bucks a tip and 30 bucks per cube of chalk Kamui absolutely sucks...

The only thing that sucks worse is the fact tha I will have to buy new tips and chalk when mine wear out from THEM.....
