Kamui Soft Black hardening up

I was experimenting the other night. I rubbed some soft cue tips with a Viagra pill.

Well, you all know what happened. I gots me a box of break tips outta the deal.

I have Kamui Soft tips on two cues. Both of them have 1/2 or more of their height left. Both are sounding and feeling hard, they make a thunk sound when hit now, and the feel is a lot harder than they were a few months ago. They also need a lot more scuffing/tapping to hold chalk well than before.

Is that normal for these tips?

They are not even close to being worn enough to be replaced but do not feel at all like they did for the first few months we used them.

I have a Kamui black Super Soft tip that has worn 75%. I miscue a lot now. It is impossible now to scuff the tip as it seems to hard to hold chalk.

I have come to the conclusion that the tip is not worth the money.

Back to my Sniper or Moori, until I can find a better alternative.

I Agree 100 %....This Sounds Just Like Me....
I was having the same exact problem so I finally decided to try the
UltraSkins by Tom Hay everyone has been talking about and REALLY Love
them. I tried the Soft to gauge the play of them and it has been Perfect
for what I like in a Tip to feel like. The Price is unbeatable..I'm Hooked
I had been using Snipers for the last 5 years but they never felt totally right to me depending on certain shots. The UltraSkins are more Consistent IMO and I have not had a single problem with miscues.
I loved original Moori Tips from back in the day...Who didn't....BUT
who knows what is Real and what is a knock-off when buying Moori's today..I don't even want to deal with that non-sense....
I'm really satisfied with the UltraSkins and IMO it will be hard to top these
Tips when comparing what your getting with the quality and price.
