Hey guys, I'll be getting stationed at whiteman AFB next summer. I was wondering how the pool scene is in that area and how's the scene a hour away in Kansas city. I'm not really looking for action, well not yet atleast. Just looking for some competitive friendly games.
 
Grew up there as a kid. Don't know anything of the pool scene there just read your post and brought me back . Played pool and foosball in KC back in the early 80's. Just take in a NFL game at Arrowhead (even though they suck rite now), and some Aurthur Bryant's or Gates and Son BBQ.
 
There are a couple great pool rooms. They have great owners and host great tournaments. Shooters in Olathe, KS has some great tournaments. Doug Patrick, a cue maker and poster here, has a pro shop set up there.

I definitely plan on seeing some games even though I'm a filings fan. LOL. It's nice to hear they have some pool halls. We have one pool hall here in Spokane that I know of, other than that your playing on not so great bar tables. Thanks for the info guys.

warsaw, mo. i live there and build pool cues. one bar has 4 tables and a few tournaments, not a lot of action, but quite a bit of friendly play. get in touch when you get in the area. call chuck at 660 723-1346

Thanks Chuck. I will def give you a call when I get down there. I also might have some refinishes and maybe a build for you too. My dad grew up in Mo not to far from Memphis and used to get action back in the 70's. I guess he was pretty good I know I can't beat him. Running 13 straight racks then another 9 ain't too shabby, though it was on a 7 footer. I'll get him one day.
