Karseal cue wax

I am looking for some help locating some old Karseal cue wax. It comes in a black tin (similar to shoe polish) with green lettering, and it has a very pleasant aroma.

Kinda like Clooney in O Brother, Where Art Thou - "I'm a Dapper Dan man and the pleasing aroma is half the point".

Anyway - I have seen new white plastic containers of Karseal cue wax - but for some reason, I do not think this is the same product - at least the one jar I checked out did not smell the same as the old stuff.

Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase a NOS tin (or two) of the old Karseal cue wax?

Also - if I am off base and the new wax is the same as the old - please chime in. I can find lots of that....

Thanks

I've found Butcher's Bowling Alley Wax to work equally as well in the past. However I use a new compound that is not a wax and I prefer the results.

You can use Mothers

Mothers car wax is 100% Carnuba wax and come in a large 12oz can for $12. make sure you get the one that says 100% wax

That is a picture of the can I am looking for. I have called and the picture is old - they only carry the stuff in the new white plastic can now.

Thank you very much though. Great try!

Well it was worth a try. There is a seller on Ebay who sells it now and then also, if I see it I will PM you. I would agree with some of the posters who are saying Butcher's Bowling Alley Wax, there have been threads on this topic before and this has always been the favorite.

I have both the old tin and the new plastic container and I also believe there is a difference between the two.

I rarely use wax on any part of my cues but it comes in handy for other things.

Here is another link, This can is enough to wax all the cues of everyone you will ever know or one average bowling alley ;)
