You don't have all the facts on the tour issues in that area. I have several other divisions that run without any problems for the TD's or the players so maybe that should give you some insight to the real problem up there. Oh wait a minute....I forgot you don't have insight do you and since you undoubtly have never been to one of my events how can you judge anything. If any one has any concerns all they have to do is contact me so all I have is your word which....hmmm....since I don't know you I won't be able to make a good judgement on that. Since you don't know me or my tour then you shouldn't judge that either. But I guess you are the judge and jury??? Face it you are factless on more than one issue here. Need to get your facts straight there Buddy. You already proved John's point with your website link that he did nothing wrong and you won't take his bet. That clears up a lot for me. So what we have here is that your issues don't hold water.
You already showed your character and your judge of character by having Jennifer run your tour for months on end, screwing players at each stop. That was reported by you and her. Why did she have to quit to put an end to it? Probably cause you were still making your money so you didn't care how it affected the players in her regional tour that she ran for you. Get off your high horse lady.

This is your proof? Get real. For one thing if it was a Bunjee Jump Breaker in question then it wasn't $300 and for the other this thread you liked to is about a cue that I got back that was defective and in need of replacement. It also taken care of as soon as I got the message through RSB. You are definitely out there man.

Pretty much what I expected.

John

Watchez,

You know full well who Kelly Fisher is. If the Sledgehammer is so much better than all the rest, "the best" in your words then it ought to be enough to propel the women pros who use it past Kelly in the tournaments. In fact, because we all "know" that women can't play it ought to make a bigger difference with the women than with the men.

The point is - you have made a statement you can't back up. You can't back it up logically. You also made accusations that you cannot back up. Then, to atempt to deflect the spotlight away from the fact that you can't back up your words you attempted to malign my character which was also quickly shot down. All this makes you is a wannabe, troublemaking nit with NO GAMBLE.

I probably won't see you down the road because I am sure you are the kind of guy that will go the other way when you see me coming. But, I hope we do match up someday. It will be fun to tell the board when I beat you silly on the pool table.

Go ahead and get the last word in. I am sure it will be as nonsensical as the rest of the crap you wrote.

First, KBP and John. Why do you guys even respond to any of this guys threads? You make yourselves look just as crazy as him when you try to justify things to him or this forum. Second, KBP. Worry about your tour and what can be done to make it fix it, not trivial things like jumpsticks and gambling between John and Watchez. John doesn't need you to come to his defense I'm sure. It seems like there's more to your relationship with him than just business. If you're not his wife or girlfriend, let him defend himself. And last but not least, Watchez. Be nice!! :)

Thanks APA

APA you are right. I let him get to me. I work with John with Fury since they are my title sponsor and have a lot of respect for his knowledge of equipment. There is nothing between John and I other than business. In fact I live in Georgia where my home base of operations is and run the Central Florida stops while he is in North Carolina where Sterling Gaming is based out of. He is a good person and co-worker. I know that when he has told me something it has been true. Watchez was getting to me about the tour and it all got mixed in together. Thanks for your input. I do appreciate it. My husband Tim and I started this venue of tournaments about 7 years ago and he did it up till his regular job wouldn't let him have the time off he needed to run events. That was when I took over and expanded it to what it is now. I enjoy running the events and watching the players get better with each event or season. We are trying to do something good for the industry with these events. Sometimes we try people out that does not work and its hard with so much going on. I have people that have been working for me from 2 to 3 years and some only last a month or so. Its the nature of the business. My husband and I have worked hard at this to create this and we are still trying to make it grow. Its just something in between league play and open events for the people to get their game better on a more even level or just to come out and have fun. My husband use to play on the Pro Billiards Tour before it disbanned. His playing still comes natural to where I have to really work on my game. He keeps telling me I am getting better and the shots he watches me try he claims are not easy. I personally think he's being nice cause he loves me. :D He has always been good at the pool thing....wish I was. But I do good at running events and love the players and the game itself even if I don't play very well. Again thanks
Kay

I do it for entertainment. And also to provide a counterpoint when I feel something has been said here that affects me or what I do. When someone attacks me or my products on this board I can't leave it unanswered if I feel the information is in error. These posts live on perpetuity. I will grant that I can be harsh in my rebuke. If I have offended anyone but the person I am debating with my tone then I apologize. I have a very bad habit of responding in kind.

John

Johnny, I will walk right up to you and shake your hand if I ever come to North Carolina. You just have to promise to buy the first beer. They don't have dry counties in NC do they? Start working on those tickets for the b-ball game & I'll be there next fall. And the link I posted was not the $300 cue stick you welched on with my friend earlier but a different example of your business practices. If my friend will let me post his name, you will be the first to know. He is a pool room owner here in the Midwest.
By the way, you never answered my question.....are Fury cues made overseas in some third world country? Yes or no.

Also, I gamble more each day than you probably gamble in a month. And Johnny, when you play and lose every time that doesn't show gamble. People always have that BIG misconception. That shows you are a sucker. I here they love you down there in North Carolina.

Now, Kay. First. Please stop sending me private messages. If you have something to say to me, just say it here.
Secondly..here is a quote from you " have several other divisions that run without any problems for the TD's or the players so maybe that should give you some insight to the real problem up there." Now, let's look to the az-billiards front page of today. http://www.azbilliards.com/2000storya.cfm?storynum=2841 The FURY Pittsburgh Tri State Amateur 9-Ball Tour has been placed on HOLD until further notice due to scheduling conflicts.

All scheduled stops are cancelled. For more information, contact tour owner Kay Higgins @ 877-328-7449 or kbp_amateur9-ball@gate.net.

Is this another division that runs "without any problems" ??? I think there is more to this story. Why wouldn't you just cancel a few of the stops that conflicted with others? Why cancel them all? Do the players in Pittsburgh get their $40 yearly membership fee refunded now that you aren't having tournaments for them?

Here is a fact...during the time that I am having this lovely discussion with you and your friend Johnny, the ONLY PERSON to come to your defense with any facts is another tournament director of Kay's. OH, and there are the other morons that make comments like don't listen to someone with a difference of opinion.

I want to interpose a post relating to OnePocketChump. I cannot comment on the Fury tour, other than I am always delighted to see an industry give back to the pool community. It keeps pool alive and well, and quite frankly, it is the amateur players who are the pulse of the pool world. So this tour, and anybody associated with it, is doing a good deed, and people do look forward to these stops on the tournament trail. I know because I have personally spoken to some of the Fury players who praise it highly.

About Kay's "friend Johnny," first, I enjoy reading well-written posts, and he is a pro. I know because I am in a related business, and I recognize excellence. A few DCC's ago, he came up to me and introduced himself, and that was the first time I had ever met him.

Second, during the Bush-Kerry elections, a friendly debate ensued about who would come out on top. John was willing to wager a C-note on Kerry with another poster. I interjected in the thread and told John that I would like to take half of that bet on Bush for 50, and he agreed. I didn't see him for over a year, until this past March at the Super Billiards Expo in Valley Forge. I had forgotten about the silly election bet, but John sure didn't. When he saw me strolling down the aisle by the Fury booth, he walked up to me and immediately reached in his pocket to hand me a 50-dollar bill. He is a man of his word, and I did kind of enjoy winning that 50 bucks. :D

Third, I learned quite sometime ago about posting on the Internet, how there will always be a few assorted crackpots who enjoy ripping people apart for their own pleasure. When you see a poster continually ruining threads with their opinions over and over and over and over and over again, providing mean-spiritied innuendoes, speculation, and ridicule, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the constant spewing out of untruths and falsities is only a game to the crackpot(s).

So there you have it, readers of the forum. When you see a poster jumping in and out of threads and the majority of their posts are negative and self-serving, I think you get the picture. I do not like controversy, but it is difficult to read a continuous barrage of interjections in every thread which contains the word "Fury." FWIW, there are MANY players in my area who shoot with a Fury, shooting and break cue, and I tip my hat to the Fury company, Sterling, or whoever they are for continuing to give back to the sport/game. Pool needs more folks like them. JMHO, FWIW!

Jam, TAP TAP TAP TAP well said! If you'll remember correctly watchez was right in the middle of the whole mess where teacherman showed his ass about MJ. He had nothing good to say and he was a trouble maker so I put him on ignore back then. The only bad thing about ignore is that most people reply with the quote.

Watchez you want to know why it was cancelled. We felt that we needed more time to build up the division and to do more research in that area for other events that we found out were held in that area but not well advertised, ie local tournaments and special events. The Td and I both agreed that the summer was not a good time to start the division up and get it running the right way. All were notified for that area and any monies that were collected has been returned or is being returned. We did what was best for the rooms and the players. This tour will run at a different time and without any problems. Sometimes we make decisions not on what we want but what is best for our players and room owners. Sorry you are so blind you can't seem to see this. I wish you well and wish for you to be a happier person.
BTW there is nothing wrong with me defending anything I feel strongly about. I don't have to know the person that is posting to do that. The reason people say don't listen to someone with a different opinion is because you are a person that likes to keep problems going on all the time. You can't seem to see the good that is going on. You are always talking about the bad stuff instead of looking for the good stuff. I really wish you well and hope that you get better.

You have been running tournaments for how long?? and didn't realize or come to the conclusion that the summer time is 'slower' for pool?? Are you so "blind you can't seem to see this". Hey Kay, guess what.....water is wet. Are you going to return the $500 added to the first room owner that had a tournament? I'm sure this person was sold on the fact that he would be getting all kinds of new players into his room even though you failed to "build up the division and to do more research in that area for other events." What's the room owners name...maybe I'll give him a call.
I really wish you well and hope you get better at running your tournaments, picking your tournament directors and picking your friends (johnny).
I'm gong fishin....can you please use your powers and wish me well with that today. It's been real hot here & I'm not sure how good they will be biting today.

It's easy to get bored when you are stuck in your chair. You haven't responded because you can't. You don't have the firepower. You don't have the shots or the skill, either on the table or intellectually. Must be tough to fish when even they are smarter than you are.

This "boy" will be around anytime you get brave enough. They do love me in North Carolina because I am not a locksmith nit like you are. The only reason you won't take my bets is because you have no gamble. You only want to steal. But, you are still a guy so your testosterone got the better of you when you puffed up and asked me to play. The only saving grace there is that you can crawfish out it being a couple states away. We'll see how if your mouth still overloads your ass when the DCC comes around. I bet that you won't play even if we are both there. I'll play you for 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 or a 1000 and you can't win for any amount. You just bet what you are comfortable with, I am going to win no matter what. When I do I am going to INVEST all of it in drinks for everyone and give YOU the credit. So hopefully you will develop enough gamble by then to buy at least one round.

John...can you please answer my question? Are Fury Cues made overseas in a some third world country?

Secondly, I asked you to play when another member told me your name was John Collins not Barton. I can't beat John Barton at pool. So be it. I am not sure what that proves. I can't beat JR Redding at basketball, Pete Weber at bowling, Johnnie Chan at poker, Roland Martin at fishing. Get the point. Probably not but I still don't care. I have not & will never devote my entire life to pool....name 5 male pool players that will have a W-2 showing they made over $75k last year? You can't so why waste your time in such an endeavor. And for the lower level pool players like myself, who wants to make a career out of playing in $40 tournaments. I looked up your name on the player list on this site for winnings this past year...$60 for 5th place. I bet that was worth your time. Wouldn't be worth my time either.
Thanks for letting me know I am allowed to bet what I am comfortable with. I have never bet in my life anything I wasn't comfortable with. When I gamble each and every day, there is always a comfort level. I'll see you at the DCC, if you are gambling with someone of your skill level you can surely get a bet from me. Sorry, I am just a C player and don't plan on improving by then. Maybe you can use a Fury cue and play Mike Gulayssey using a Sledgehammer and gamble with him.

I give you 1 point for being the better pool player. -3 points for being the better puppet of Fury cues and Kay.

I'll give myself 1 point for being a better gambler (that means winning when you gamble). I don't any more points than that.

I'll buy any rounds you want at the DCC as long as you are wearing a Sledgehammer is the Best Break Cue T-shirt. What is your size...I'll send you one.

The answer to that question is no.

watchez said:

You can't beat anyone at pool. Proabably because you choose to remain ignorant. The fact that you puffed up from the beginning proves that.

Your ignorance is truly monumental. I knew you were a nit the first time I ever saw a post from you. Everyone has a talent though and yours would be crawfishing. Go sell some Sledgehammers, they are the best thing about you. Apparently you aren't even that good at selling them otherwise you wouldn't have dozens to sell. You probably didn't even buy them, you probably begged Mike to consign them to you and you still can't turn them.

Sorry, I don't need your ignorant math nor want any drinks from you. As for the T-Shirt, I have one thanks, given to me by my friend Mike Gulyassy. Mike is a fine cuemaker and a world class player. He is also a world class person, something you can't even aspire to be since you are only a low class nit.

The discussion, sadly one-sided, is over unless you feel the need to discuss geo-politics on your quest to prove just how clueless you are.
