Keilwood shaft order

I’m wanting to order a keilwood shaft. I’m kind of frustrated at this point. I’ve reached out to several makers of custom shafts, with extremely mixed results I spoke to one semi custom cue company to get a quote. That was a week ago. The lady asked me to send her pictures and I did. She said I’ll have you a quote by the end of the day ,well seven days later I’m still texting for a quote and mind you this is a company that is supposed to have excellent customer service. I spoke to another that told me a week which seemed extremely short. Here is what I’m looking for. I want more of a long pro taper, not really interested in one of the dark, dark roast shafts. Really like the idea of coring the end of the shaft with lighter wood such as balsa and a shorter ferrule. I understand it will not be super low deflection, but that’s not necessarily what I’m looking for. Solid and consistent is the name of my game. I’m looking for recommendations with a solid turnaround time, great reputation, and honestly an excellent playing shaft. looking for one that hits solid but not stupid stiff post some recommendations and personal experiences with makers thanks in advance.
All the customization is why you arent being served as you expected.

You don't trust the makers' conclusions about what they should sell acceptable?

Did you try calling Dominak to discuss with what seems to be your very similar options to how I order shafts like I recommended doing last week?

Have ordered 2 lighter kielwood shafts, 12.5mm long pro taper, small ferrule, soft G2 tip, .850 joint diameter with 1/4" black basic joint ring. Each was $220 shipped and they play great.

is the hue of brown indicative of anything or is it just aesthetic?
The hue indicates either higher temp and or longer torrefication process. The process typically heats the wood and removes moisture. Darker shafts are lighter and the tone of the hit will change.

All of my kielwood shafts play quite stiff. I am not certain if that is a function of the torrefication process or other factors that impact this feedback.

The Douglas Moore option is interesting and I had an early dark roasted kielwood from Runde crack. I'd give a plug to Scott Gracio's carbon cored kielwood for price, delivery and performance. He matches rings and can deliver in less than a week and charges $350. I love the look and play of the Hayakawa but they're $500 and difficult to get custom tweaks. The Tsunami has a long lead time and is expensive. The carbon cored Gracio Kielwood plays as good as either of them.

Cool, where can one order one of these Gracio shafts?

The hue indicates either higher temp and or longer torrefication process. The process typically heats the wood and removes moisture breaks down hemicellulose.

The moisture reduction is incidental to being baked. The shaft will subsequently absorb moisture from the air according to ambient conditions, just like any other maple shaft. The reduction in hemicellulose means the equilibrium moisture content of a torrefied shaft will be lower than that of a non-torrefied maple shaft in identical ambient conditions, but both shafts will absorb/release moisture with ambient conditions.
