At the pool table, I ran a rack of straight pool, got back in the chair and waited for my opponent to rack. He didn't get up and I wondered why. It turned out that the six ball was frozen to the top rail and I hadn't noticed it at all. Of course, this oversight cost me my run.

I recall the time I had trouble opening the locker in which I stored my cue at the poolroom. I approached the person at the front desk and asked for help. I gave him my locker key and he effortlessly opened it for me. The reason I had failed to open my locker was that I was mistakenly trying to open the wrong locker.

Shafts won't improve your skill level, but after 31 years of use I am replacing mine with a new shaft because it has developed a few nicks over the years. I guess if you want to hijack it to a swallowing egg comment then carry on!

I had a meeting in work 50 miles away. Had a storm, everything was iced when I tried to leave. Went out, tried the key on the car, pulled etc, couldn't open my car. Called triple A to open it. Guy came, took a scraper to the window to look at the lock button. Was a '91 nissan, the locks were still visible. He turned the key and opened the door. My wife watched this from in the house. I made the meeting.

Not sure why it's so important that you question my reply?
