Keith used to post regularly on the AZB and was from Raleigh NC and has recently died.

I liked the guy. He would telephone me on the weekend at crazy hours after midnight just to chat about pool. Mostly he liked talking about gambling. It crazy but the Internet has made me friends that I have never met. Wish I had made it to Raleigh before this.

I learned that he was friend with a guy that used to live in New Orleans, Randy Wilson and haven't heard from either of them in a while, when I saw that Keith had passed.

I think Keith AZB screen name was crawfish or something close to that but haven't seen him posting for quite some time.

Sincere condolences to Keith's family and many friends.

This is sad. Nice that you made a connection and are remembering him though, I'm sure his family would appreciate it. RIP "crawfish" Keith.

Amen...he was a hoot.

Had some fun times with the guy. He wasn't shy about trying to stir up some action and even though he tried, we never did get the chance to partner up.

A toast.

I never got to meet him in real life but I would have loved to hang out with him and go look for some action. Way too young.

One of our locals moved up where Crawfish was located and they became good friends. RIP Crawfish.

Just found this forum.

Here’s a story about Keith. Around 1986 or 1987, Keith asked me to ride with him back home to Weaverville, NC for a long weekend.

If you know Keith, he was always looking for a game, so we headed over to Playworld in Asheville. As we were walking in, this couple was heading out the door with trophies in their hands. I would have walked right by, but not Keith. He stopped them and asked what was going on. They had just won a huge foosball tournament, still had on their foosball gloves. Who knew there was such a thing as foosball gloves.

Keith quickly stated we will play you $10 per person, per game. I grabbed Keith and told him I didn’t play foosball. I had only played once or twice in my life, and this couple had just won the tournament with a few hundred entries. Keith told me not to worry.

He put me in the back at the goal and told me to do what I could. We, well he, spanked them the first game and they quit. It wasn’t even close. Well damn, at that time Keith was way better at foosball than pool.

It was a good day, no pool game to be had, but we did meet and hang out with Ottis Moore for the day and listened to some great stories. Neither one of us was stupid enough to play Big O.

Had a great weekend in Weaverville and his family was awesome.

Good stuff. Quality thread resurrection there newb. Funny you mention fooz, i have a few friends here in Tulsa that were world champion doubles players a couple times. One of them is also really sporty with a cue as well. I never was a foozer but at one time tulsa/Okc was a hotbod of really good players.
