Keith Josey Cues

I play in a large pool room with quite a few players that have high end cues. For the most part when I notice one that I have not seen before I strike up a conversation about the cue. Most of the time I am invited to hit a few balls with it. I've had the chance to test a lot of different customs and production cues and for the most part all have had a nice hit and balance but none have really impressed me until yesterday.
Now I know hit and balance are very subjective but the Keith Josey cue that I hit some balls with in my mind just felt a notch or so above all the others.
Not a hard stiff numb hit or a dull thud like some others, but a crisp hit with a lot of feed back. If I ever decide and can afford to move up from my Lucasi this is one maker that I will consider.

Keith's basic no inlays petes range from $280 to $390 depending on the choice of wood used...which is still a heckuva bargain, considering how well his cues play. Fit and finish on these is no different than on his more expensive cues. Keith and Sherri are also some of THE nicest folks to deal with.

I have recently hit some bad luck with a job loss, and had to put up my beloved cues for sale. All are gone except for my Josey...which I just cannot bring myself to part with...and would leave me no cue to play with.

My very special Josey:

The pic as for many cues doesn't really do it justice. Have seen it up close and looks amazing and feels just as good. Only downside is the smell of that one shaft, lol.

;)

Keith Josey cues are great. I just got my first one a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely love it. His sneaky pete cues are just amazing. Mine actually cost me less than my previous playing cue a McDermott. You can never go wrong getting a Josey and playing with one. Not to mention Keith and Sherri are truly great people and great to work with.

Lisa,
I hope you never have to sell that beautiful Josey!

Josey Cues are AWESOME!!!

IF you like a stiff hitting cue, I believe a Josey is definitely the way to go. I've had 2 and my 3rd should be done within a mth or so. The first I sold to my brother and ordered another one the same day (w/ a longer butt). The 2nd one got stolen and I ordered another that very night if that tells you anything.

I have a Schon, Ezell, Bob Frey (SP), Bludworth (SP), McDermott (SP), and a Leon Sly (SP). All of these hit fantastic w/ me favoring the Sly barely but a Josey I like even more.

And as already mentioned, Keith and Sherri provide top notch customer service. Needless to say, I'm now a life long Josey fan.

Someone came into the hall yesterday with a Josey he was telling me about being made for him and it had an awesome hit on it. Made me think about giving him a call when I get ready to order a new cue.

JAy Helfert has one, its his favorite cue, I have used it lots of times and it is a great playing cue-I would guess its 7-8 years old, nothing fancy(how I like my player's to be).

I think you should give some serious consideration to selling the Lucasi and moving up-you wont be sorry.IMO also if you do it right it might cost $200 or a bit less.

Glad you liked the cue. Now I know who you are. To think we've known eachother via AZ for quite some time now, and have even exchanged conversation in the pool room more than once. It was only with this post that I was able to put two and two together. See you around.

Well you are smarter then me! I guess my picture gave me away. Small world isn't it? It was Tokyo Dave's cue that I got to hit.

Mine's already on order. The waiting part sucks though. Ordered a fairly ornate sneaky with a hoppe butt on it. Gonna be Bocote with 2 shafts. 1 Lepro and 1 with an Everest on it. Looking forward to it. I only hope to do it justice.
