34 - Efren taking a drag on a cigarette - don't see that nowadays

34:15 - Keith blames cameraman when he misses a shot. Shades of the future (back when pool actually had a sponsor).

34:15 - Check out Efren's shot to make the 7, and get shape on the 4!!

Finally -
Keith wins! Keith wins!

Thanks for the post, Chesscat.

However, (and I always harp on this to everyone) please spellcheck your posts.
It makes the difference between a link working and leaving one "in the dark."
Nonetheless, thanks again for posting this classic matchup!

My MAN! The EARTHQUAKEEEE! He is what's missing in pool. I love watching him play.

Keith was certainly a character.
Yes, it would be neat to see a personality like that again, but I just don' think he/she would be accepted as easily.
He/she would be looked at like a "thorn" in our profession.

It is no longer obtain in our current pool culture to "bark" as Keith often did.
Now don't get me wrong—despite all the talking he did Keith was not an ass about it.
He was fun to watch, that's for sure.

Times are a-changing.

Keith got lucky there while Efren got unlucky, plus the ref even gave him a game and the break.. JT

Nostalgic

That was fun to watch - from the old cues (McDermott, Mueccis and Schons), slow cloth, old Brunswick table, no stalling or rack checking. Thats how pool should be played. Thanks for the fond trip down memory lane.

Barking's fine, sharking isn't! Like Alex, Keith is welcome just about anywhere he wants to play.
