If anyone can give me some insight into kenneth murrells cues, I would appreciate it. Specifically I'm interested in his craftsmanship, playability, and future value. I'm debating on whether to order a murrell cue. Would you all consider Murrell to be an up and coming cue maker? Because as of now, he is an unknown in my neck of the woods. But it could be that since I live in florida he is being over shadowed by the likes of searing, omen, nitti, and showman.

I play pool at the same pool hall the dealer from Wolfbite solutions (California dealer of Kenny's cues) and I've gotten to see quite a few of them. Including a couple of his rare SS jointed cues. I'm not affiliated with them nor do I get any kind of kick back for promoting his stuff.. but I have turned a few friends on to Murrell cues and they love them. All the ones I've seen are built extremely well. The points are even and sharp. The rings are usually unique, shafts are good, wrap is good, and the finish is bright and smooth. Kenny seems to be kind of a wood geek and gets really picky about what goes into his cues. I personally think thats a good thing with a cuemaker. Anyway, I know he's moving soon and is going to stop production for a little bit till he gets settled into the new place. I would definitely recommend Kenny's cues and I think his cues will continue to gain respect because they are simply made extremely well. My .02. =o]

I got one from wolfbite cue solutions, iam not impressed with the hit butt the craftsmanship is awsome.
 
I have one and I've chosen to use it due to the nice soft hit. I prefer a soft hit from a cue, unlike most other players from what I've seen. I love the balance, I've hit with 3 others, other than my own and found that the balance is great on any of them. The feel to his cues seem to be pretty consistent. Although the pricing is a bit higher then a few years ago, his cues are still very reasonable. My advice is to jump on one now while you still can.

Hay jr do want ot sell it ?
I have a Murrell i jus love it .Ken is a real stand up guy and know cues and all types of wood ..jus send him i email ,,
O jus one thing he is taken orders for 07 .that is when he'll be start on new cues ..he about to move shop..

I have one of his cues as well. I think it hits extremely well and the craftmanship is topnotch. The only gripe I have is with his finish. He uses a CA glue finish that seems to be a bit too brittle. It really clear and holding up fine, but there are spiderweb-like cracks in the finish. I don't know if he has tweaked the finish lately, but i acquired my cue about a year or so ago and it had that problem. But besides that, I LOVE IT! It plays extremely well, though mine doesn't feel soft as someone posted earlier, but mine plays stiff and really crisp. Very nice hit.

No contest murrell is a way better maker.He also makes his own points , rather than orders them from prather premade like bcm does.

No kidding? Bryan uses Prather planks? If so, that's a bummer...I kinda find it hard to believe...anybody else comfirm....

man i tell u bad boy talking about someone like that kenny make the best q for the money ..to help u all out he does not use glue to finish him cue .but if u like email him and ask him what is he useing .ken make a dam good q .I have a nother one now and i love .leather wrap 4 pointer ivory coller ..the cue hit like a hammer .. his email info is on the .good luck on a cue take orders but would get it till next year ..got a lot to catch up on ..And he jus moved..

I am in no means bad mouthing Kenny, if that is what you are implying. I was just stating that it was something he could improve upon, but I do believe you get alot of cue for the money with one of his cues. And did you happen to glance over the part of the post where I said, "I LOVE IT!?" As far as his finishes being CA glue I received this information through John @ Wolfbite Solutions (who is his dealer in California). And from all the cues that John had at the time (probably about a dozen or more) when I purchased my cue, a number of them had the minute spiderwebbing I spoke of.

As far as recommending Kenny's cues, I HIGHLY recommend them. They hit great, look great, and feel great.
