I am an instructional columnist for Billiards Buzz, Pool and Billiard Magazine and On the Break News. In the past I wrote columns for Inside Pool and SPM Magazine. I am also a player representative for McDermott Custom Cues, Pool Dawg, and a former BCAPL National 9-Ball Champion. Recently I was recognized as the 2017 SPM Magazine Billiards Instructor of the Year.
I have five top 25 national finishes and I am one of only 8 certified ACS Master Instructors in the world. Currently, I have the highest established Fargo Rating (706 playing ability score) of any Master Instructor in the world. I am the primary author of the ACS National Billiard Instructors Manual and I have also authored the book Unstoppable! Positive Thinking for Pool Players. I have been a fully licensed Kentucky teacher for 18 years (with a Master's Degree in Education). During that time, I worked as a district administrator for 9 years and as a Virtual Learning Consultant for the Kentucky Department of Education for one year.
I have won over 300 pool tournaments and defeated numerous professional players in tournament competition.
My bedrock concepts for improvement include: free will, commitment, persistence and confidence, all things that can be applied for success in work, sports and life.
