Kersenbrock Believe It Or Not

> My best guess is NO. The trim rings look suspect, and I've never seen a Kerse with anything but a brass pin, other than the Omega/DPK stuff. One usually reliable feature of David's cues is the end of the joint pin. If you look at the pins of a SW,Rick Howard,or other makers that use the same type pin they are all centerdrilled on the nose, but not very deep,David's cues usually have much deeper holes in the end of the pin, like it was centerdilled too deep on purpose. This cue does have some nice woods in it,especially the purpleheart, only seen one other cue that had that much curl in it. Tommy D.

Emailed the seller and asked some very specific questions. My initial reaction is that it is NOT a KB but I'll have a better idea when (if) the seller responds to my email. SW301-93

The email will not help. There was a Balabuska cue up for auction. The discription claimed it to be a rare and expensive cue. You could tell it was a later day Adams. I sent a ask the seller a question. He never responded. I think that if he responded it would be posted and he didn't want that to happen. The ploy didn't do him any good because the cue didn't sell for much. I think too many buyers knew what it was.

Looks like an Ed Young cue. Kersenbrock and Ed work together in Chicago. Kersenbrock is making only a few cues annually and they are really fancy. This cue looks like Ed's work in that the silver rings look faceted rather than smooth as with most others, which is a trademark of Ed's. I am not positive it is Ed's work, but am confident.

Wonder how JOEY feels about the maker (ED???) knocking off his "judas" ring? Well--a close proximaty thereof.

The ad states "alumunum titanium" bolt? That was the first clue there was a problem.

Nice cue....

Says the seller lives in Flint MI.

I live in Flint MI....

If anyone wants it inspected by me let me know...

Kinda curious myself...

Funny....

The guy also has 7 other Billiard cues and cases on E-bay right now...

3 of them have been bid on already...

All 3 of them are being bid on by the same individual:rolleyes:

Coinkydink or what...

Those of you out there that have played with or owned any of Ed Youngs cues, what did you think? Is he putting out what you would call modern day DPKs? Or is he totally in his own groove? In the past I've considered getting my hands on one, but have always backed off simply because I haven't seen others interested in his cues as much as I thought they should be.

The cue is definitely Ed Youngs. The rings are a dead give away.. Not a bad price at $800 considering Ed's prices are going up and up these days...
