hey everyone I had a David Paul Kersenbrock cue ebony and Birdseye maple piano cue stole it had two veneers red and ebony with ring work in all spots it had three shafts the cue was perfect I bought the cue in 2007 at the derby it was from a vender out of Texas the insurance company wants a value of the cue but trying to get ahold of ED is like pulling teeth cue addicts has it on about 9,000 I think that would be fair but as we all know David is only making 8-10 a year how do you put a price on it now if anyone know the vender out of Texas that would be great so I could tell the insurance company or an easy way to get ahold of Ed they want to bring in an appraiser which I have no problem with because if he get ahold of Ed I'm sure it's going to be very high I told them I would be happy with a replacement so if anyone has something for sale please let me know has to have close to full shafts THANKS RUSTY my cell 228-861-5300

Insurance on valuable cue. Good for you. All others take heed - such insurance is rather cheap, can be had as an all-risks rider on most any homeowners or renters policy.

I paid about 15 cents per $100 valuation per year for $10,000 worth of camera gear when I was photographing a lot, and I only had to provide replacement value information for the two claims I had with State Farm, got the check within a week or less, first claim $1100, next $1500, the first claim was 'lens lost or stolen in shipment' and the second was 'insured fell off bike and camera and lens struck hard surface".

I hope you get a good replacement or at least a satisfactory settlement.

The cue most likely came from Scott Murphy or Joe Sallazar. You may want to see if they remember / can provide a receipt.

I think I would talk to Scott Murphy with Cue Addicts.

He had one, it may not have been exactly like yours but I was looking at buying it when he had it.

I was thinking it was around $10K, but not absolutely positive.

Best of rolls my friend, if you want my cell phone PM me and we can discuss more. I would do anything I can to help.

I damned near passed out from not taking a breath after reading all of that. Whew!
Sorry your cue was stolen. Make sure that when pool and adult beverages are combined you keep a sharp eye on your equipment. There are predators out there, and I don't mean cue shafts.

Sorry I got lost looking for your first period

So you're still lost because from what I can see there is nary a one nor a needed comma ha ha, but seriously I didn't realize that DPK was still making cues guess I need to read pages like this more often:

Hope you're able to get ahold of Mr. Young pretty soon so that you get an answer to your question, but doesn't an insurance company need some kind of official appraisal for this type of transaction?
