Might be a dumb question but...why would someone want to buy the smaller .98 version as opposed to a larger version with more chalk?
 
:confused: I don't know? Received the new 98b chalk. Really like the improvements (size and peel wrapper). Wow similar names!

Not a dumb question, a lot of people may wonder the same thing. The new "beta" version is 36% bigger and has the layered rip off label layers (anyone who has used a cube of Kamui chalk knows how it sucked that the outer label was not easily "rip-able". You had to use a razor blade or scissors to cut the label down to use the whole piece of chalk).

The reason people may still buy the "alpha" version is because it is being sold for much cheaper now that the beta is out, and also because I'm sure a lot of people do not even know the beta is available... You have to remember, not everybody is a pool nerd like we are. Most die hard AZ'ers eat, sleep, breath, and sh@it, pool (I'm one..). But most others play a day or two of league a week and don't ever even give it a second thought until the following week....
