Kicking Academy - The End

Well, that’s that; it should take about 6 months to a year to learn and apply these systems to your game, by then you should be playing many of these kicks within a minimal amount of time or by “feel”. I hope that the people who are REALLY interested in learning how to play this game apply these systems to your game and enjoy frustrating your opponent by consistently hitting his/her safes; by the number of hits (80-120) for each of my posts I see that there are not many who are interested in kicking or learning how to kick. Actually, there are many more than I expected; most people here just want to “CHAT” with someone; OR, are fine with taking the easy way out and JUMPING over the obstructing ball; I wonder what these people do when they’re within a couple inches of the obstructing ball??????????????????????

I can tell you, THEY’RE LOSERS. Because they DON'T know how to kick.

I enjoyed my stay here and I hope I left you with something you can apply to your 9 ball game. Hope to see you on tour.

I am for one greatly appreciative! Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us and I certainly hope this will not be the last time. This is definitely one area, of many, that I need to improve and as I said I am very greatful. Thank you for everything.

J.R.,

I hope you decide to stick around here. I, for one, enjoyed all your posts. It's refreshing to read about solid knowledge that can have an impact on someone's game. Obviously, you've been around the block, and your sharing of that is much appreciated. While some of the systems you mentioned are common for Billiards players, alot of Pool players don't use more than 2, if any at all. When you are playing a 1 foul rotation game, you HAVE to be able to kick well.

Thanks again, see ya around.

J.R.,

I too hope you are not leaving the forum. I REALLY appreciate the knowledge you have posted and the time you took to do so. You really made this stuff easy to understand.

Thank you so very much.

You can lead a horse to water, but if he'd rather piss in it than drink, well...you just have one dumb ass horse.
I surely appreciate your time and effort to post this. Your continued stay is very welcome and I hope you're not saying adios.

I would like to add my thanks, also. I have a pretty good feel for one and two rail kicks but have been mainly working on my fundamentals trying to get them as perfect as possible before taking on larger, more complicated challenges. I have printed out your information and will be studying them/putting them to use in the near future. Much appreciated!

Thank you very much for the series on kicking ; I for one will be trying to learn these systems. Now is there any way to convince you to do a series on safetys ? If not, I still greatly appreciate your time and effort, the kicking series will not go to waste ...

Thanks again,

Dave

Dead Aim,
You should be horsewhipped for this. It irks me to have to learn to play 9-ball just to get some action, but now you've added another 6 or 12 months of gruelling practice for me, just to learn some 9-ball tricks and kicks that seem essential. I knew I should of just stuck to straight pool. :) :)

Just kidding, thanks for the info. Two of my instructors have told me just to learn kicking by instinct (as Sang Lee played billiards), but I'll tell you it REALLY helps to have your diagrams as a starting point. Thanks again.

Thanks for all your hard work, I have them saved and will print them out so I can take them to the table and work on them.

Thank you DeadAim!! This is definitely one of the reasons I love this forum, because every once in a while, someone like you comes along and shares something really helpful! Very much appreciated!!!

A friend showed me how to aim at a distant object from the 3 rail corner pocket to corner pocket shot and it is like magic. I also have Dr. Q's kicking tape. Haven't had the time to read all your postsl yet, let alone try and learn them, so I will copy them for later.

Thanks,

Jake

DeadAim:

Well, I printed out all your kicking columns and plan to work on them. Even though I never play nine ball and rarely play eight ball, these things are probably good to know.

I also appreciated all you wrote about straight pool and hope that if you get the time, you'll drop in and share some of your insights on that game with us.

Deadaim, Your posts on kicking are very, very much appreciated.I was already using the diamond, syd and plus systems and now you've given me so much more to work on. Kicking is HUGE in the game of 9 ball. Your contributions were HUGE to us here at AZ, thanks so much, RJ

ps.If you could illustrate some nine ball safties, that would be great.

Missing Academy 6??

Hey everyone...I can not find the thread on Kicking Academy part 6. Was there ever one?

Thanx.
