Kid Delicious Movie in the Works!

If there is a part for Rob Saez it should be played by this guy...

I've said it for years, but if they ever make a movie about Cornbread Red, Steve Buscemi (in the pic) is the only guy for the job. He's the only actor I think could truly capture the greatness of Cornbread (AKA "The Legend").

As for an actor to play Danny... Jack Black has the completely wrong persona to play Danny in character. IMO, his personality is way to dark, complex, and shady. It's been mentioned in certain circles that Kevin James (King Of Queens) would be perfect for the role of Danny. I agree. Anyone that truly knows Danny will probably agree. Danny is the nicest human being on earth and truly appreciates everyone he meets. Kevin James is the only actor that I can think of that has the personality capable of truly portraying Danny. Highs and lows. I've been friends with Danny for 10 years and have never heard anyone say they don't like him. He's one of the very few people I've met in life that I can honestly say that about! As JAM said earlier, Danny just has that sparkle in his eyes. Believe me, who ever gets cast as Danny, they will have their hands full! The SI article was good but it only scratched the surface. I've been privy to a lot Danny's stories from the inside and if this movie is well written / produced it could be one of the best ever told on screen. Trust me, THIS COULD BE GOOD!!!

The thing is you're trying to cast Danny accurately, since when did Hollywood care about that? They want a story as a starting point, then they spin it and the characters involved to suit their latest "inspiration".
Danny will be lucky if they don't wind up making him some dark underworld character who is only saved by the intervention of true love.

lets not forget that danny wasn't nearly as large as he is now..........kevin james wouldn't be an accurate portrayal of danny on the road either. danny said that for a while he was under 200........big difference now.

If only he was still alive.. Chris Farley!!! :D

I don't know Danny, but from what I hear he is a real fine human being. Maybe he should think about his weight in relation to health, it would be a shame to lose him younger than neccessary. Steve Miserak is another example he could look at or more recently Fred Wenker, he cared quite a few extra pounds too.
Danny may be one of those individuals that can carry a lot of extra weight without his health being effected, but maybe he isn't.

He's a cute-looking lad of, my guess, 18 years in that pic. He's 27 or 28 now.

His best feature is his eyes, which actually sparkle when he's giving you his undivided attention, which he does to everyone he speaks with -- his best trait (IMO)!

He spent a few months here in Fargo in Fall 2000. He actually played in at least 4 weeks of 8-ball league that fall. He was maybe 10 or 20 pounds heavier than he is in that picture. I saw him again in Vegas in spring 2003, and he'd put on at least 100 pounds.

He was much bigger than that when he went on the road. I think that is actually after his big road trip when he got skinny for a short time.

I heard he got to beat some guys twice because of it once as 'that fat kid' and then again like in the the picture. He'd never get me though- i would always remember that voice.

Oh I love this guy kid "every thing is delicious'' least thats what i heard a pro call him the other day lol. :D
