Kids Cue?

Does anyone have any experience with the kids cue's on the market? I am buying a cue for my boys 8 and 5 to start learning the game at home. I saw the Action SP cues "48 and 52 inch". Has anyone bought these for their children? Are they good or pieces of junk? Any recommendations?

Thx

They are great for little kids. If your kids are tall enough, I would just get them a 58 inch cue even if they are just starting.

It is imperative that home setups include at least one or two of them if you are going to entertain very small kids. I learned that the hard way.

What do you consider tall enough for a 58" cue?

I used to sell the Player's kids cues. They were a decent cue to get a child started with learning how to play. I noticed on McDermott's web site that they have a couple of different sizes of children cues available.

These cues that you are getting your kids they could turn out special in the years. the youngest might be better with a jump cue.

I have a lathe that I would just cut down a bar cue and put a ferrule and re tip it . or buy store bought kids cues . . or find someone local with a lathe .

should post this in ask the cue maker a lot of those guys just love doing things for kids. makes a great review for the maker.

Its your kids there worth the effort ..............
Best regards
