Kids playing pool

Where I play they have a junior league. I can't tell you how envious I am of these kids. Stuff like that wasn't around when I was a kid. Actually I don't think my parents would dream of allowing me to be in a pool hall as a kid. I loved playing pool as a kid. The problem was that it was a rare occurrence for me until I was able to drive myself to the pool hall.

The last time they had league in there I kind of chuckled to myself while seeing all of the McCready strokes I was seeing.

At any rate I guess this post is about taking time with the kids. I remember when I would watch the great players at my old room I would just focus on every little thing I could. I've never been one to interrupt someone's practice, or game so I would just watch. Because of my little quirk any time one of these kids asks if I want to play I always stop what I'm doing and rack them up for them.

Today one of the kids asked if one of the employees was there because he said that he needed a new tip. He had one of those super hard Triangle tips on and said he wanted something softer. I told him that next time he saw me in here that I'd bring him a free Ultraskin. I have seven of them in a bag and I'd make sure to save one for him.

Dang kids these days are lucky as all get out.

You Sir, are and ambassador for the game of pool! Thank you for sharing to the next generation of great pool players. You know the difference between the yester-years and today. With that wisdom, you've help others without the requirement of compensation of your efforts. Kudos to you! I wish more pool places had someone like you there.

Remember

I remember when I was a kid 14-15 yr old we had a older guy his name was Lefty. He helped relieve us of our $ by playing 9 ball. Yes the kids at Chandly's are lucky and so are the adults to have a room like that in their area. I'm jealous.

Next generation

Got the next generation at the pool hall right they are supper excited as our 9ft diamond pro gets installed Thursday
