THE CUE IS ABOUT A MONTH OLD. HAS LIGHT PLAY ON BOTH SHAFT, BUT IS VERY VERY VERY CLEAN. HAS ONE OF THE BEST SMOOTH LEATHER WRAP JOBS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. PILOTED 5/16 14 IVORY JOINT, SATINWOOD FOREARM, EBONY POINTS AND BUTT. 4 VENEERS ON EACH POINT.(YEL,ORG,GRN,BLK) LOADED WITH YELLOW MOTHER OF PEARL NOTCHED DIAMONDS, AND HAS RINGWORK AT ALL THE SPOTS. BUTT WEIGHS 15.3 OUNCES, AND HAS 2 SHAFTS THAT ARE 13.1MM AND WEIGH 4.1 OUNCES. (SYNTHETIC FERRULES) THE CUE HAS A NICE LONG TAPER TO IT. THE SHAFTS PLAY LIKE THE ARE MUCH SKINNIER. LOTS OF FEEL AND FEEDBACK, AND EASY TO MOVE THE CB AROUND.

Good luck with the sale!

AGREED..... I'VE HAD 4 OR 5 NOW, AND THEY WERE ALL NICE HITTERS. I PREFER HIS PILOTED IVORY, LIKE THIS ONE.

THE TAPER HE USES IS VERY FORGIVING. LIKE I MENTIONED IN THE FIRST POST, THE 13MM SHAFTS PLAY LIKE A MUCH THINNER SHAFT. NORMALLY A FULL SHAFT IS BULKY AND KIND OF DEAD FEELING, BUT NOT THESE.

An excellent looking Kikel. Beautiful work in all areas without over doing any of it. The blinding yellow price font could do with some work though =) Good luck with your sale. This shouldn't last long.

I USED YELLOW TO BURN THE PRICE INTO YOUR RETNAS..... NOW YOU CAN'T FORGET THE CUE, OR THE PRICE.

lmao Nor can I see out of one eye =) Actually, it wasn't the burned retinas so much as the difficulty in reading. Still, a great cue!!

THANKS DAVE.......MR.KIKEL MAKES A GREAT PLAYERS CUE.

Cnc?

Thats a lovely cue. I love the design and the colors used. Very nice indeed. Can I just ask, is Dave now using CNC, i only ask as the points seem a little rounded and not as sharp as i would expect from him?

Thanks

HAS BEEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME. ALL THE INLAYS ARE SUPER SHARP THOUGH.

Kikel cue

I like the style of this Kikel cue a lot. I recently owned a Kikel cue and Dave's workmanship is top notch and his cues play very well. I hated to part with mine, but a deal came up that I didn't want to pass on.

Good luck with the sale.

Dave does not use CNC...he uses a Pantogragh for his inlays...always has.

This is an exceptional cue with a classic design. Dave's piloted ivory jointed cues are great playing cues.

IT'S MY FAULT I ANSWERED INCORRECTLY..... I SHOULD HAVE SAID INLAID POINTS, NOT CNC (ALTHOUGH I THOUGHT HE USED CNC)

Marcus, I like the way you describe the taper. I had a Dayton that was a full 13, but seemed much smaller due to his taper. Very nice BTW, good luck.

Kikel

I'm very suprised this cue is still for sale. Kikel is definitely one of the top cuemakers in the world. Not just for the amazing craftsmanship that goes into his cues but for their playability as well. Give Dave a call and see how much he would charge to make this cue today. I bet it's a LOT more than what Marcus is asking for. :grin-square:

AGREED, THIS CUE AND PAULS CUES ARE SIMILAR TO A SEARING, IN THAT ASPECT. SOMEHOW THESE GUYS MAKE A BIG SHAFT FEEL LIKE IT'S MUCH SMALLER.

THANKS.....THIS IS A GREAT CUE AT A FAIR PRICE.

I WOULD ALSO CONSIDER TRADING FOR SOMETHING WITH A PILOTED STEEL JOINT FROM A BETTER KNOWN CUEMAKER. I MAY EVEN ADD SOME CASH FOR THE RIGHT DEAL.
