John,
I'm curious. You state that these tips are made in Taiwan yet the pic shows a tip that says "Killer.U.S.A". What's up?
That's what they put on the tips. I have and had nothing to do with it. Most likely the makers want their customers to think that the tips come from the USA.
I only sold these to Jerry Olivier back in 2002.
All the tips that I bought from the same supplier were marketed under the Instroke brand as "Instroke Tips" and all that was marked on the tip was Instroke M/H/MH or S.
I stopped selling them even though they were as good or better than anything else on the market because the profit margins were too low to keep spending energy and resources selling against 20 other brands of layered tips competing in what I honestly feel is only about 5% of the tip market. I have no idea why someone hasn't come up with a tip to compete against LePros and Triangles. That's 95% of the market in my opinion which this time is not backed up by anything other than my feeling about it.
I just found my samples in the bag, the new ones that my friend says are better than the Killer tips. They look just like the original Mooris and are marked with a little green M.
Personally, I can't stand the tip business.
I find that all tips are within a few points of each other after several days of play. Mainly for that reason and the crowded marketplace in the layered tip segment is why I got out of selling tips. I personally never wanted to have someone call me back and say these words, "that medium hard tip you sold me feels more like a hard."
Nope, done, sorry I only deal in much larger pieces of leather now.
