KInd Attn All and Mr Jforney36

Well, I'll probably be in the minority here, but this does make sense to me. I can also see why JFORNEY got upset when Monto perhaps "jumped the gun" and issued a complaint before funds could be transferred back. I know when I use paypal I will transfer funds immediately to my bank account, since I don't want money floating out there with paypal. I think that if Monto had been patient a day or so longer, this thread would never have happened.

The only thing I would add is that JFORNEY should have made it clear to Monto that the cue was sale pending to another buyer. Other than that, this seems like a misunderstanding from the get go from both sides.

So even if you recieve money that you know should not be in your paypal account you transfer it out? I seriously doubt that. I don't blame Monto for protecting himself or as you call it jumping the gun. JFORNEY36 pulled a scam and got caught. Monto should not have had to wait at all. The second JFORNEY36 realized that $800 extra was in his paypal account it should have been refunded immediately - not a day or two or three........

Get real.

Two things that everyone is overlooking. Monto demanded more in refund than he was due. He never admitted Seller did not accept W/U transfer. That is what held up Seller's initial refund. He just magically goes from one amount to another without acknowledging the fact the Seller owed him less than he was demanding. Second, after Seller refunded him, he failed to inform us that a transfer had taken place. When asked if he had received the money, He said "nothing in my account", all the while knowing a transfer was in motion. Only after he was asked if this was so did he let us know the Seller had indeed started the process. Two valid points that should not be overlooked in this whole fiasco.

You make an excellent point. But you could have made it without the "get real" comment. Is there a possibility that paypal has an automatic method of transfer to bank account? I'm no paypal expert so please keep your response reasonably civil.

Nothing about my response was not civil. I apologize if you took offense to any of it. I should have seperated my response because only the first question was directed towards you. The get real was more directed towards JFORNEY and his bullshit. The rest was just my opinion on the situation. I will do better next time to be more clear.

You can refund a payment at anytime and it goes back to that person immediately as long as you don't transfer those funds back to your bank first. Even then when you transfer money to someone it goes to them immediately but takes a few days to come out of your bank account. The only way it takes 3-4 days to transfer money is because you are brand new to paypal or you do an e-check.

I understand that, but I was wondering if it was possible that Forney had it set up in paypal to automatically have funds transferred to his bank account upon receipt of any funds. When the funds needed to be returned, then there was the "lag" time until the funds could be transferred back?

The only way to transfer funds out of your paypal account to your bank account is to do it manually. You have to select transfer funds to bank account then put in an amount and then hit transfer. Then it takes 3-4 busniness days to hit your bank account.
