This is a beautiful conversion cue that was completed by Jerry Olivier (1 of 1) with a very special traditional full splice blank that was fully cored by John Davis begin_of_the_skype_highlighting*****end_of_the_skype_highlighting. This is the first burl full splice blank that I have seem made successfully (1 of it kind blank) and it took John several tried and after wasting a lot of expensive wood to get this full splice right. I was told this couldn't be done easily but it's definitely possible. The blank alone with factoring all the wood wasted must have been easily over $1500.00 plus to complete.

The butt is 15.8oz and the veneers are too my specs. Check out the thuya burl eyes...is an amazing work from Jerry to display this master piece. This cue like all other cues from Jerry Olivier plays phenomenal!!! Balance, weight..everything is just right ...the shaft are 3.6oz and 4.0oz.

Here are some crappy images...need to take some out in the sun.

My blank was constructed about 2 years ago...and I have not seem another made using burl as the base wood. He only has burl in the forearm but not for the entire butt of the cue. Using burl is the forearm is also very easy for the cue to crack if it not cored and I've tried that before unsuccessfully as well. I believe mine is the first successful full splice burl ever made and John had to core the entire full splice as his points are very high up on most of his blank. I don't think their has been anyone else that have tried this successfully.

Regards,
Duc.

Very nicely done.
FYI, DBK has already made a fullplice of amboyna: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=161962

Duc,
indeed, Dmitrys cue was made about 1 year ago. He also cored the wood. His splicing technology is also different.
Anyway, enjoy it :)
