This video has been around but I just found it yesterday. It shows a young David Matlock playing with Johnny Archer watching. Also has Steve Mizerak providing some comical comment. David makes it look easy.

Thanks for putting up the video. I wonder if Dave can runout like that with Ridgeback rails and 4" pockets? I'd like to hear some feedback from a pro on how much harder a Valley plays set up like that. Johnnyt

Has anyone taken lessons from David Matlock? I have heard that he is a system player and is proficient at any game, especially 3 cushions. I am not interested in playing 3 cushion but I would like to gain a good understanding of the diamond system from someone who lives it.

I had lessons with Dave a few years back.He is all about system's.
Some of his system are a lot like what DR Cue teaches.

He plays out of Dan Tull's place in Olathe Kansas.If you ever get around
that area set up some lessons.Very Humble person.
